The Englewood Brewery Re Opening
The Englewood Brewery is Re Opening
The Englewood Brewery (outskirts of Hummelstown, near Hershey’s Bullfrog Pond and Shank’s Park) is re – opening after being closed due to freezing pipes in December of 2022.
As their Facebook picture (GIF) shows – while rotating through; it says: “New Brews! New Chef! New Menu! New Food!” And they are looking to be delivering all of that starting tomorrow when they re – open.
Sprinklers in the building were accidentally set off on Christmas Day during a cold snap, flooding parts of the restaurant and live music venue at 1219 Research Blvd.
Rick Russell, one of the venue’s partners, said cold winds hitting the building entered an insulated section of the historic barn, causing rubber gaskets on a part of the sprinklers to shrink and burst.
“When you get a call from a fire chief on Christmas Day, I didn’t think it was to wish us Merry Christmas,” Russell said. “The fire department saved a bad thing from being very, very worse.”

Kicking The Party Off
They are re opening at 11:30AM tomorrow morning to start things off. But they are really kicking things off with live music tomorrow night by Cold Spring Union:
Celebrate our reopening with a great night of Alt Country (and a touch for Rock n Roll) with Cold Spring Union and Hockersville Station TOMORROW, February 17th. What better way to lead off our return with the two bands that played the first ever concert at The Englewood!

Thanks For Reading
The Englewood re opening is good news, great news especially with the news of Mount Gretna Craft Brewery closing.
Its really great to see a local brewery, venue, and restaurant re open. The Englewood is really loved in the area for its food, its music venue, its restaurant as a whole, and the brewery. Its also a stone throw from Bullfrog Pond and Shank’s Park which makes it nice for a day of walking, hanging out, and then chilling at night.
