Cellar Works Brewing Announces They Are Closing Cooper Station

Just a few hours ago today – at 5:05PM – Cellar Works Brewing announced on their social media platforms that they will be closing the Cooper Station. They will be concentrating their efforts on their Verona and Sarver locations.

You can read their announcement here:

Unfortunately, in business and in life, things don’t always work out as planned. We dreamed of owning and developing the former Cooper Station property since before we opened the brewery. When it finally happened, it was a dream come true. Immediately, the unlimited possibilities came to us…..as did a global pandemic. Since then, we just haven’t been able to catch any traction with the project. Couple that with an ever evolving industry and an uncertain economy and it became obvious that a decision had to be made.

We’ve agonized over this decision for months. In fact, it’s one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do personally. However, after much consideration and for the health of our business, we’re going to put the property on the market for sale. We’re very sorry that we couldn’t make our dream a reality, but it just wasn’t in the cards for us.

Instead, we’re going to use this opportunity to “grow down.” What exactly does that mean? Well, we are going to reset and approach the business at a scale and direction that is comfortable to us. This means focusing heavily on the quality of food, beer, service, and experience at both Sarver and Verona locations. Please bear with us as these changes won’t happen overnight. Instead, they will be incremental and meaningful.

Despite sounding like bad news, we promise that moving away from that project is the right decision for Cellar Works. Please send positive vibes as we go through with this process. Thank you all so much for the continued support. We truly love and appreciate you all.

All the best,

John L

Thanks For Reading

Thank you all for reading. As I said in yesterday’s post – Double Nugget Nectar Releases Statewide Today – Amy, Scarlet, and I were in Hackensack New Jersey on Sunday for some brewery hopping and to catch the Bengals vs. Bills game. (Bengals won — WHOOOOO DEEEYYYY!) Was planning on getting the travelogue of the trip up today, but real life got a bit hectic this morning, so maybe tomorrow – if not then; then it’ll be Thursday. But stay tuned – it will be up shortly I promise. (Fingers crossed.)

Anyway, thank you all for reading. Please like, share, comment, and follow along with us. We are nearing 2,500 followers on Facebook. Hoping to hit it by the end of January. Please help us get there! Thanks!

Cheers All!
