Old Soul Brewing Starting up in Waynesboro Pennsylvania

Old Soul Brewing – Waynesboro, Pennsylvania

And the Brewery Count Goes Up

So good to start off the new year with good news. And few things are better than announcing a new brewery is in the works.

The Waynesboro brewing scene is picking up. Announcing today on Facebook that they have secured a building is Old Soul Brewing. They will be located at: 2 South Mulberry Street, Waynesboro, PA, United States, Pennsylvania. The building is currently the Nu – Way Cleaners (a former dry cleaner business in Waynesboro).

Obviously not much is known at this time of their announcement, but we are definitely keeping them on the radar.

Old Soul Brewing announces that they have secured a location

Old Soul Brewing made the following announcement via their social media pages earlier today:

Happy new year! The new year brings exciting news for us! Big thanks to Mike and Sharon from Iron Valley Real Estate of Central PA Carlisle Office for finding a home for our project!

Clean out is well underway! Working on drawings and permits to start the buildout. We’re looking to open mid summer this year if all goes well.

To go along with their announcement, Lindgren Craft Brewery also made an announcement:

Remember when we told you about our 2-bbl system getting a new home in Waynesboro? Be sure to follow Old Soul Brewing to follow their adventures as they work on getting their brewery open!

Lindgren Craft Brewery – Facebook Post

Its so awesome to see a brewery getting to reuse a local brewery’s supplies and tanks. Good to see Lindgren Craft Brewery’s 2-BBL system going to a good home.

This is what’s so great about the craft beer industry. How teams and breweries work together. Lindgren Craft Brewery gets to upgrade their system, recoup some of the money from their old system, and in the process their old system finds a new home with a starting brewery and helps them out.

You can read more about Lindgren Craft Brewery and how they are moving into a bank in Duncannon Pennsylvania here: Lindgren Craft Brewery – Back the Bank. And – Lindgren Craft Brewing – Duncannon’s Newest Brewery: Inside a Bank.

The Facebook summary for Old Soul Brewing reads:

We are a 2bbl brew house with a six tap tasting room. All styles from clear to thicc will be offered.

Longtime readers of the blog here will recognize the name of AJ Brechbiel. He has written a few articles for us, and been longtime friends of the blog. We first met AJ a long time ago at various home brewing events and other craft beer related events in the area and got to know him and reached out to him to write a bit for us.

He has been an assistant brewer for both Rough Edges Brewing Company in Waynesboro Pennsylvania and for Gearhouse Brewing Company in Chambersburg Pennsylvania.

You can read about our one trip here: Hiking Pen Mar Overlook and Park and Visiting Rough Edges Brewing.

AJ has been a big help here at the blog and great supporter as well. You can read his articles here:

We have reached out to AJ and hope to get more word on the upcoming brewery. You here at The Beer Thrillers will certainly get all the news when we get it!

Thanks For Reading

Thanks for reading everyone, and I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year’s. Hopefully you didn’t tie one on too much last night at your New Years Eve parties… maybe didn’t go straight for all the barleywines or 14% pastry stouts? Maybe chilled and settled for a few pilsners and lagers? Here at The Beer Thrillers HQ we had a a pretty slow day. I had to do some housework, getting a room finished painting, and had to do some computer training for my work. I finished two books to hit my 2022 Book Challenge goal of 110 books.

Scarlet, Amy and I, just stayed inside for New Years Eve, and today – New Years Day – I worked. But its so good to come home to this great news. And fills me with much hope for the 2023 year! I can’t wait to get at it!

Cheers All! And a very Happy New Years!
