Daedo Brewing

As per Untappd – Daedo Brewing is a micro brewery from Dongdeok-ro, 대구 South Korea. They have 56 unique beers and 762 ratings with a global average rating of 3.87 (as of 2.12.23). Their Untappd description reads: Daedo Brewery is a new brewpub located on Kim Kwang Seok street, one of the most famous locations in Daegu. The original building was constructed as a makgeolli factory in 1953 and was named Daedo Yangjojang. (yangjojang is the Korean word for any building that produces alcoholic beverages) The makgeolli factory closed in 1997 and was left unattended for a long time, however in February, 2019, the building was renovated and reopened. We reused the name ‘대도양조장’, but now instead of makgeolli we make craft beer. Our brewery has six 1000 liter (7BBL) fermentation tanks, used to make a variety of different beer. There are many people unfamiliar with craft beer in Daegu, so we have a range of beers on our tap list , from easy to drink styles, like traditional Munich style Helles, German Pilsner, as well as an American style IPA, an Imperial Stout, a Ginger lime sour beer(sours are a new trend in craft beer these days) and Pink Stout using the locally roasted coffee beans. The brewery has two floors of seating, as well as open air seats outside, and can serve up to 150 people at a time. We have fourteen different beers available on our tap lists, with twelve of the beers produced locally at the Daedo Brewery.

Thanks For Reading

Just as I said above, I would like to thank Erin from Gorilla Brewing Company’s marketing team for reaching out to me about writing this article. They have asked me to cover press releases going forward in the future, and I will be helping out with that.

She has been generous enough to send a care package to me as well (including a t – shirt, a beanie, a glass, and some beer). It’s all greatly appreciated.

While I’m in the process of saying thank yous – let me say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read, and follow, and share, and subscribe, and like, and comment, and etc, and etc, and etc, the blog. It really does mean a whole lot to us. All of your views, visits, shares, comments, likes, on the blog – and our different various social media platforms – all help us get viewed even more. Its amazing how simple a ‘like’ click or a ‘share’ on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, or any other social media platform really does for the blog.

Yesterday was a busy day – was planning on getting a fair bit of writing done, but didn’t get a chance to with how busy the day was. We went to ZeroDay Brewing for lunch, over to Urban Churn Creamery for an Eagles cheesecake for the Super Bowl today, then I helped Ming and Don move from Mount Joy to Linglestown. Which took all day. Then helped Ming pick up some 15′ planks of wood for his future dining table in Mechanicsburg, so we stopped at Ever Grain where I picked up some four packs of Sorbetto 56 and Joshua Group. Amy is preparing to write a new beer review based on Sorbetto 56; so look for that in the future.

Today is now the Super Bowl. Who do you all think will win? I’m predicting Eagles. I’m predicting 27 – 17. Let me know your predictions in the comments or on our Facebook page.

And one last thank you to everyone. Cheers to the Super Bowl and cheers to the weekend!

Cheers All!
