If there are two things Americans love, it’s football and beer. And what better way to combine them than by finding the nearest craft brewery to every NFL stadium? Whether you’re traveling for an away game, tailgating with friends, or just want to explore new taprooms, this guide lays out exactly which brewery is closest to each of the NFL’s 30 stadiums (remember, the Giants/Jets and Chargers/Rams share homes).

We’ve mapped out the nearest on-site breweries to every stadium, with exact coordinates and precise distances (straight-line, great-circle measurement). This isn’t a rough estimate—it’s as accurate as it gets without breaking out a tape measure on game day.

Observations

  • Shortest Walk for a Pint: Seattle Seahawks fans win this one — Pyramid Alehouse is basically across the street from Lumen Field (0.1 miles).

  • Cincinnati Close Second: Bengals fans at Paycor Stadium can stroll over to Moerlein Lager House in under half a mile.

  • Longest Trek: Buffalo Bills fans have to head ~8 miles to Buffalo Brewing Company. But let’s be real, Bills Mafia is tailgating in the lots anyway.

  • Brewery Culture Hotspots: Cities like Denver, Seattle, Charlotte, Philly, and Minneapolis have multiple breweries within walking distance of the stadium.

Beer and Football – A Perfect Pair

Key Takeaways

  • Closest Pair: Patriots fans win with Wormtown Brewery’s Patriot Place taproom, only 0.14 miles away from Gillette Stadium.
  • Big Beer Desert: Arrowhead Stadium and Commanders Field are both over 5 miles from the nearest brewery.
  • Beer Hotbeds: Green Bay, Detroit, Philly, and Minneapolis have breweries practically across the street.

Why This Matters for Beer and Football Fans

  • Travel Planning: Away game? Know where to pregame with fresh craft beer.
  • Local Flavor: Each stadium has its own beer scene—some are surrounded by breweries, others are beer deserts.
  • Beer Tourism: Football season is the perfect excuse to visit a new brewery.

Conclusion

Football and beer go hand in hand, and no matter which stadium you’re at, there’s a brewery nearby worth checking out. Some fan bases have it better than others—Packers fans can walk across the street, while Commanders fans may have to Uber—but either way, beer and football continue to be a match made in heaven.

So next time you’re headed to a game, remember this list, support your local brewery, and raise a glass to touchdowns and good beer.

No matter which team you root for, there’s a craft brewery nearby waiting to serve you on game day. The rise of local beer near stadiums shows how intertwined football culture and the craft beer scene have become. Next time you head out to a game, consider supporting a local brewery before kickoff.

NFL Stadium Beer Prices for the 2025 Season – From $6.80 to $16.49 (and Higher) https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/08/15/nfl-stadium-beer-prices-for-the-2025-season-from-6-80-to-16-49-and-higher/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=nfl-stadium-beer-prices-for-the-2025-season-from-6-80-to-16-49-and-higher Fri, 15 Aug 2025 21:29:45 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16575 NFL Stadium Beer Prices for the 2025 Season – From $6.80 to $16.49 (and Higher)

There’s nothing quite like the marriage of two of America’s greatest obsessions: football and beer. Whether you’re tailgating in the parking lot hours before kickoff, grabbing a cold one while cheering from the stands, or yelling at your TV from the comfort of your couch — beer is part of the NFL experience.

But if you’re heading to a game this season, you might want to check your wallet before you order that pint. Because depending on where you are, you could be paying as little as $6.80 or as much as $16.49 for a single 16-ounce beer. And if you’re unlucky enough to be in Philly, you might even see $18.50 staring back at you from the concession stand menu.

(See our article about prices at the MLB Ballparks – The Average Cost of Beer Per Ballpark (2025) .)

So let’s dive into the full stadium-by-stadium beer price breakdown for the 2025 NFL season.

Recent NFL Stadiums that hosted the Super Bowl

Average Beer Price Across the NFL – 2025 Season

The league-wide average price for a 16-ounce beer in NFL stadiums sits right around $9.76, based on the most recent available data from the 2024–2025 season. This figure reflects standard draft pricing — not the inflated “premium” options you might encounter in certain stadiums.

NFL Stadium Beer Prices – 2025 Chart

Beer Price Leaders and Losers

  • Most Expensive: Washington Commanders — $16.49 for a 16 oz pour. That’s nearly the price of a six-pack at your local craft beer shop.

  • Most Affordable: Cincinnati Bengals — $6.80, proving that the Queen City still knows how to take care of its fans.

  • Biggest “What the Hell?” Moment: Philadelphia Eagles — $11.24 standard… but an $18.50 Miller Lite made headlines this preseason.

Why the Huge Price Differences?

A lot of factors go into these prices:

  • Market size and cost of living (New York, LA, DC tend to be pricier)

  • Team ownership philosophy (some owners see concessions as profit goldmines, others try to keep them affordable)

  • Stadium contracts with vendors and distributors

  • Fan demand and willingness to pay

And of course, once you’re in the stadium, they’ve got you. No outside beverages allowed, and unless you’re nursing a $6.50 bottle of water, you’re paying the going rate for beer.

A Craft Beer Fan’s Perspective

Here at The Beer Thrillers, we’re all about quality, variety, and flavor. So when I see someone dropping $16 on a watery macro lager, my beer-loving heart hurts. That same $16 could get you a hazy IPA from a local brewery, a barrel-aged stout, or three pours at your favorite taproom.

That said… when you’re in the middle of a roaring stadium, your team is in the red zone, and the crowd is electric — maybe, just maybe — the beer tastes a little better (even if your wallet feels lighter).

Final Take

Beer prices in NFL stadiums are going nowhere but up. If you’re a die-hard fan, budget accordingly. If you’re a craft beer drinker, maybe save your serious sipping for the pregame tailgate or post-game brewery stop.

Either way, beer and football aren’t breaking up anytime soon.

Craft Beer and Election Day: Sipping Democracy in 2024 https://thebeerthrillers.com/2024/11/05/craft-beer-and-election-day-sipping-democracy-in-2024/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=craft-beer-and-election-day-sipping-democracy-in-2024 Tue, 05 Nov 2024 16:00:13 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=15666 Craft Beer and Election Day: Sipping Democracy in 2024

Liberty Ale by Anchor Steam Brewing – a truly patriotic brew.

As the 2024 U.S. presidential election approaches, craft breweries across the nation are once again tapping into the political spirit with creative, election-themed brews. These special releases not only celebrate our democratic process but also provide beer enthusiasts with unique flavors to savor while awaiting election results. Let’s explore some of the most interesting election-inspired craft beers you can enjoy this November.

Pliny for President: A Hoppy Contender

Russian River Brewing Company, known for its iconic Pliny the Elder, has been “running” Pliny for President every election year since 2004. For the 2024 election cycle, they’ve developed a new recipe that’s sure to win over hop lovers:

  • Style: Triple Dry-Hopped IPA
  • ABV: 7%
  • Flavor Profile: Strong notes of stone fruit, tropical flavors, citrus, pine, and resin
  • Availability: Multiple batches throughout 2024, starting December 12, 2023

This special brew showcases Russian River’s commitment to both quality craft beer and engaging with the political process in a lighthearted way.

(See our beer review on Pliny the Elder.)

Bipartisan Brews: Uniting Beer Lovers Across Party Lines

Beer and Patriotism

Several breweries have created beers that playfully reference both major political parties, allowing drinkers to enjoy a cold one regardless of their political leanings:

The U.N.I.T.Y. by 1310 Kitchen & Bar (Washington, D.C.)

This election special, named after Queen Latifah’s song, aims to bring people together over a shared love of craft beer.

Coinciding with Election Day, this Filipino restaurant in Washington, D.C. offers $8 or $10 pours of specialty sherries, providing a sophisticated alternative to beer while watching election coverage.

Politically Charged Pints

Some breweries use their beers to make more direct political statements or engage voters:

The 270 Challenge at Royal Sands (Washington, D.C.)

This clever promotion ties into the electoral college:

  • Offering Blue, Red, and Purple themed drinks
  • If 270 drinks are sold by the end of the night (representing the electoral votes needed to win the presidency), the entire bar receives a round of shots
  • Starts at 5 p.m. on Election Day

Responsible Drinking on Election Day

While these election-themed beers add a fun element to the political process, it’s crucial to remember the importance of responsible consumption, especially on Election Day. Many bars and restaurants are offering special promotions to encourage civic participation:

  • Dirty Water (Washington, D.C.): 10% off for showing your “I Voted” sticker
  • Midlands Beer Garden (Washington, D.C.): $5 beers all night while showing election results on all TVs
  • Whitlow’s (Washington, D.C.): $5 Bud Light drafts and $8 Front Porch Rocker Teas

Craft Beer’s Role in Political Engagement

The trend of election-themed craft beers highlights how the brewing industry can play a unique role in political engagement. By creating these special releases, breweries:

  1. Encourage political awareness and participation
  2. Provide a common ground for people with different political views
  3. Add a touch of levity to what can be a tense political climate

Brews and Ballots: How Beer is Shaping the 2024 Election

As the 2024 election approaches, craft breweries are tapping into the political zeitgeist with creative, election-themed beers. This trend has been fueled by recent high-profile moments connecting politicians and beer culture.

Vice President Kamala Harris made waves during her appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” by cracking open a can of Miller High Life. This strategic choice not only connected her with everyday Americans but also highlighted Wisconsin’s brewing heritage, a key swing state in the upcoming election, Harris’s beer moment has inspired local breweries to consider creating their own “High Life” themed brews for Election Day parties.

Meanwhile, Ohio Senate candidate JD Vance went viral with a campaign video featuring him holding a six-pack of Old Style beer. His catchy tagline, “Make Six Packs Great Again,” tapped into the cultural significance of beer in American social life. This clever marketing could inspire breweries to create limited-edition beers that play off political themes during election seasons.

The concept of “beer polls” has also gained traction, where voters express their candidate preference based on who they’d rather share a drink with. Recent polls suggest more voters would prefer to have a beer with Kamala Harris over Donald Trump, showcasing how beer can be intertwined with political likability.

Savvy breweries are capitalizing on this trend by creating special labels or events themed around these findings. As Election Day approaches, craft beer enthusiasts can expect to see more politically-inspired brews hitting the taps. Whether you’re toasting to democracy or drowning your political sorrows, there’s sure to be a craft beer that speaks to your political palate. Just remember to drink responsibly, especially before heading to the polls!

Conclusion: Toasting to Democracy

Whether you’re celebrating a win, commiserating a loss, or simply participating in the democratic process, there’s likely an election-themed craft beer to suit your taste. As you enjoy these creative brews, remember that the true spirit of Election Day lies in exercising your right to vote and participating in our democracy. So raise a glass to the American political process, savor the craftsmanship of these election-inspired beers, and most importantly, make your voice heard at the ballot box. Cheers to democracy and great craft beer!

You can find lots of fun Instagram posts of people decking themselves out in gear and regalia for the voting and for the drinking, like Stouts and Stilletos Instagram post. Obviously also; there’s just a ton of vitriol and political annoyances on Instagram as well (albeit far less than on Facebook or Twitter) so be weary. Also, as always, beer and Instagram tends to lean towards a lot of “posting for the algorithm” of women in revealing outfits, so be forewarned about that as well.

As you gather with friends and family to discuss the issues that matter most to you, let these craft beers serve as conversation starters. Each sip can spark discussions about policies, candidates, and the future of our nation. Supporting local breweries not only enhances your voting experience but also strengthens community ties. Many breweries are hosting events that encourage civic engagement, offering discounts for those who show their “I Voted” stickers or organizing watch parties for election coverage. This Election Day, take a moment to reflect on the power of your vote and the role that craft beer plays in fostering community spirit. The act of voting is a celebration of freedom and choice, much like selecting your favorite brew from a diverse tap list. So whether you’re sipping an IPA with friends or enjoying a stout while watching the results roll in, remember that each beer has its own story—just like each voter has their own voice. Let’s raise our glasses not just to the beers we love but to the democracy we cherish. Cheers! Cheers to democracy and great craft beer!

(PS: We voted today. Was number 200 at 8:30 AM at our small town voting district. You can check out our Instagram to see our ‘I Voted’ Post.) (Instagram: The_Beer_Thrillers)

The Battle of the Breweries (2024): Preliminary Qualifiers https://thebeerthrillers.com/2024/02/26/the-battle-of-the-breweries-2024-preliminary-qualifiers/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-battle-of-the-breweries-2024-preliminary-qualifiers Mon, 26 Feb 2024 13:58:56 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=14463

The Preliminary Qualifiers

The Battle of the Breweries – 2024

Lets get this thing started! Its time to RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The 2024 Battle of the Breweries is officially kicking off —– NOW — with the preliminary qualifiers. Each of the four conferences: Bravo, Crystal, Fuggle, and Galaxy, are hosting a single fatal four-way “win and you’re in” match. These are sixteen breweries that we have not been to yet, and will be traveling to and visiting in 2024 (or at the latest – early 2025). The winner of each of the four fatal four-ways will be added as the 32nd seed to their respective conference. (ie. winner of the Bravo fatal four way will become the 32nd seed in the Bravo conference, etc.)

The Battle of the Breweries (2024) is set up with four conferences of 32 (counting the “win and you’re in” brewery) for a total of 128 breweries in the main tournament (140 participating breweries in total). They will compete in single elimination rounds (Best of 32, Best of 16, Best of 8, Final Four, Finals) for each conference, before each conference will send their winner to the “Finals Fatal Four-Way” to determine the winner of this year’s Battle of the Breweries.

Breweries will be competing from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Arizona, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.

You can see our previous topics about the tournament for this year here:

We encourage you to go onto social media and share this post, as well as to follow our Facebook, Instagram, and other pages to stay up to date on the tournament. You can vote once per day for each conference’s blocks (once we’re in the main tournament, each conference will have their own distinct article). So to better your favorite (or your own personal) brewery’s chances of winning – we highly recommend sharing and letting all of your friends and family (and even your enemies) know to vote for you.

You can follow along with us on Facebook and Instagram.

The Rules

There’s gotta be some kind of rules to this madness right? This madness of March (and well, this year the end of February as well… and yes… also a bit of April as the tournament goes into that month as well). So… what are the rules involved?

To pull straight from the initial March Madness / Battle of the Breweries post:

So how’s this going to work? Who all is invited? What all breweries are going to be in it? How many breweries? How’s voting going to work? Who decides whose in and whose out? Whats the seeding? Why is Rick such a jerk to Morty? Why is Jurassic Bark the saddest episode of Futurama ever?  Why is the sky blue?

Ok…. enough with the questions!

March Madness (2021) – The Battle of the Breweries (2021)

Breweries are selected from breweries that have been visited by The Beer Thrillers staff.

Voting Rules

Each day you will be able to come to the site to make your votes in the polls. It will be set-up by IPS, so it limits you to voting just once per day per vote. You can vote as many times as you want per round, but only once per day.

Rounds will be one week (ending on Sunday nights at 11:59:59 PM EST) and the new week of voting starting up the next day (Monday) when I get the articles posted (usually around 8:30 – 9:30 AM EST).

Voting will typically be a week long, but the scheduling might be a bit in-flux, stay tuned to the follow up Preliminary Qualifiers post, which will spell out the scheduling a bit better. I prefer to have the rounds last Monday – Sunday for ease. The preliminary qualifiers will end on Thursday (February 29th), and  the tournament will start on a Friday (March 1st). So most likely the opening round will just have a few extra days of voting.

Schedule of Rounds

  • Preliminary Qualifiers: February 26th – February 29th
  • Round of 32: March 1st – March 10th
  • Round of 16: March 11th – March 17th
  • Round of 8: March 18th – March 24th
  • Round of 4: March 25th – March 31st
  • Conference Finals: April 1st – 7th
  • Finals Fatal Four-Way: April 8th – April 14th

VOTE HERE

Lets do this! Enough with the fine print, and the rules, and the boring stuff. Lets get to voting! Here you go, here’s where you get to vote for the Preliminary Qualifiers. The fatal four-way “Win And You’re In” match-ups. There are four fatal four-ways, one for each conference. You may only pick one brewery from each fatal four-way.

Good luck to your favorite breweries in the tournament! Share and tell your friends to help your favorite breweries get more votes!

Participating Breweries

This is the list of all 140 breweries that will be participating in the Battle of the Breweries (2024). This list is in no particular order, and is not set for their conferences. We will be rolling D4’s (four sided dice) to determine which of the conferences the breweries will be placed in. Once they are placed in their conferences, they are seeded by overall Untappd rating.

Map of New Breweries We Visited in 2023 https://thebeerthrillers.com/2024/01/01/map-of-new-breweries-we-visited-in-2023/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=map-of-new-breweries-we-visited-in-2023 Mon, 01 Jan 2024 21:55:41 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=15362 Map of New Breweries We Visited in 2023

A map of all the breweries we visited in 2023 for the first time.

This is a map of all the “new to us” breweries we visited in 2023. And by this I mean the physical locations. (So some of these will be breweries I’ve been to before, but a new location of theirs, like the Spring House Tavern.)

This list is Ben’s first time visits (mostly visited with Amy, and then later Scarlet).

How to Use The Map

You can zoom in, and click on each of the beer mugs with the paw prints on them to see the breweries. This will call up their address via Google Maps, as well as any other information they have supplied to Google (phone numbers, websites, etc.). You can also save this map to your Google Maps so when you call up Google Maps these locations will be pinned onto your map as an overlay.

Maps of Breweries in the United States of America (USA)

The below is a list of maps of the states, territories, and districts of the United States. As well as a fun map of all the breweries that The Beer Thrillers have been to. I am working on getting these done geographically, starting with Maine. (When the state is underlined and in color, means the map is done and ready to be viewed.)

7th Anniversary Beer Fest – Event Brite Page

Fidens?! Adroit Theory? Xul Brewing? RAR Brewing? Southern Grist? Resident Culture? Burley Oak? Dewey? Crooked Crab? Other Half? Fourscore? Dancing Gnome? Black Flag?

Sign us up!

This is an absolute star studded lineup, and we can’t wait. Amy and I will be going. Looking to meet up with a lot of the Central PA Whalerz and hopefully doing a beer share afterwards as well. (Because… why not do a beer share after a mammoth four hour brewfest?)

Unlike the 5th Anniversary Event where Amy and I took the Friday off, and made a huge brewery trip out of it, this year, we’re just going to be going down Saturday morning, hitting up the brewfest, spending the night, and then hitting a few breweries on the way home Sunday. Still a lot of fun, but possibly a little bit more laid back. (Possibly.)

Congressional Gridlock Could Threaten Small Breweries: What Craft Beer Fans Need to Know https://thebeerthrillers.com/2023/10/20/congressional-gridlock-could-threaten-small-breweries-what-craft-beer-fans-need-to-know/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=congressional-gridlock-could-threaten-small-breweries-what-craft-beer-fans-need-to-know Sat, 21 Oct 2023 02:35:39 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16395 Congressional Gridlock Could Threaten Small Breweries: What Craft Beer Fans Need to Know

The Capitol Building (in Washington, D.C.)

If you love independent craft beer, the latest turmoil in Washington might hit closer to home than you think.

While much of the media spotlight has been on Capitol Hill’s ongoing dysfunction—think leadership battles and budget showdowns—there’s a lesser-known consequence brewing behind the scenes: the impact on small and independent breweries across the U.S.

What’s Going On in Congress?

The U.S. House of Representatives has been facing serious hurdles in passing key legislation. Ongoing political infighting and short-term budget fixes have created instability in how federal funds are allocated—and how small businesses are supported. For the brewing industry, this dysfunction can disrupt everything from tax relief to supply chain stability.

Why It Matters to Brewers

At the center of it all is the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act (CBMTRA). This critical piece of legislation made permanent a set of reduced excise tax rates for small brewers—giving them room to grow, hire, and invest in their local communities.

But the fight isn’t over. Many in the craft beer world are also looking for support on issues like supply chain relief, postal reform (to allow for more flexible beer shipping), and funding for programs that help brewers access raw materials like hops and barley.

Unfortunately, legislative gridlock means these priorities could be left hanging.

What This Means for Your Favorite Local Brewery

Without consistent action from Congress, the burden of rising costs, disrupted distribution networks, and uncertain tax policy falls squarely on the shoulders of small breweries—the same folks who bring you your favorite hazy IPA, crisp lager, or seasonal stout.

If breweries can’t plan for the future or rely on stable tax policy, that could mean fewer jobs, fewer taproom expansions, and even fewer new beer releases.

What Can You Do?

The Brewers Association is urging beer lovers and brewery owners to stay informed and stay active. That might mean contacting your representatives, sharing accurate info about the challenges breweries face, or simply supporting your local taproom with a few more pints.

Because let’s face it—craft beer doesn’t just magically appear in your pint glass. Behind every pour is a team of passionate brewers, workers, and owners who depend on a fair, functional government to help keep the industry thriving.

The Great American Beer Festival

Tonight at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver Colorado they announced their yearly winners. The Great American Beer Festival (or GABF for short) started in 1982 and has been a staple event of the craft beer community, running every year (going virtual during the COVID – 19 pandemic). Making this the fortieth annual event.

For those unaware, The Great American Beer Festival, is thee annual event for craft breweries across the country. Every year, hundreds / thousands of breweries and brewers meet up in Colorado for the annual event, showcasing their goods, and hoping to bring home some of the illustrious medals. Getting a gold, silver, and even bronze at the GABF means a big deal to the brewer, and to the brewery itself.

(We will eventually get to the US Territories, as well as the Canadian Provinces, and possibly more countries; as well as doing some fun maps like a map of all the breweries we’ve been to, and other fun maps.) You can find the brewery maps here:

We are also working on a project of creating printable and downloadable PDFs and resources to be able to check and keep track of all of the breweries you’ve been to. So stay tuned for that project once we are finished with the Brewery Maps of the US States.

The Bruery Store D.C. Is Closed https://thebeerthrillers.com/2023/05/02/the-bruery-store-d-c-is-closed/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-bruery-store-d-c-is-closed Wed, 03 May 2023 00:41:59 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=11231 The Bruery Store D.C. Is Closed

Today at 6 PM, The Bruery posted on Facebook and Instagram that ‘The Bruery Store D.C. Is Closed’.

Their store in Washington D.C. has been open since 2017. The Bruery has consistently been a top brewery in America since their inception.

The Bruery cited rising costs and new opportunities as their reasoning for closing the Washington D.C. store.

The Bruery Store Announcement

Important update for The Bruery Store D.C.

As of May 1, 2023, The Bruery Store D.C. will be closing. We’ve enjoyed our stay in Union Market since its opening in 2017, but due to rising costs and new opportunities, we made the hard decision to shift our focus in the D.C. area.

With this change comes new opportunities, including:

✔️SHIPPING EXPANSION

Perhaps most excitingly, you’re now able to have your favorite beers from The Bruery & Offshoot shipped to your door in 47 states plus D.C. We’re thrilled about this new opportunity, and we know many of you have been waiting patiently for this to be available!

The Store’s closure in large part allows us to shift our focus to better supporting this new shipping availability.

✔️ ORDER PICK-UPS

We’ll still have order pick-up options for our Members in the D.C. area. Please reference your email for pick-up location and instructions, or reach out to us at society @ thebruery .com with any questions. At this time, pick-ups in D.C. are only available for our Society Members; reach out with any questions!

We’re grateful for our community, both in the D.C. area and nationwide. Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we perfect our shipping and pick-up processes. Cheers and we can’t wait to share a beer with you soon!
