Moving On

Moving on up…. to the East Side – to that big deluxe apartment in the sky! ….Or to the Final Four of each conference. (Either / or). Its Monday morning, and that means the last round of voting has ended, and we’ve spent the night and early morning tabulating the results and the next round of voting will begin!

But of course before we can vote on the next round (The Conference Final Four) we need to first check the results of the previous round (The Conference Elite Eight).

Ok, enough preamble – lets take a look at the results!

• 9. Southern Tier Brewing Company (36 votes) defeated 16. Appalachian Brewing Company (24 votes)
• 4. RAR Brewing (31 votes) defeated 12. Slate Farm Brewing (25 votes)
• 11. AleCraft Brewing Company (76 votes) defeated 3. Human Robot Beer (19 votes)
• 2. Fourscore Beer Co. (28 votes) defeated 7. Pizza Boy Brewing Company (27 votes)

Stats

There was just one upset this round with number 11. AleCraft Brewing Company defeating number 3 seed Human Robot Beer.

The largest margin of victory was AleCraft Brewing Company over Human Robot Beer by 57 votes.

The closest margin of victory was Fourscore Beer Co. by 1 vote over Pizza Boy Brewing Company (28 to 27).

The lowest seed remaining in the Saaz Conference is number 2 seed Fourscore Beer Co.

The highest seed remaining in the Saaz Conference is number 11 seed AleCraft Brewing Company.

The final four breweries still competing in the Saaz Conference are:

Voting Rules

You can vote daily for your favorite breweries in each conference. Voting ends Sunday night, March 26th, at 11:59:59 PM EST. So make sure you get your votes in early and often! And be sure to share and bookmark the page to help your favorite breweries even more. The voting pages will be up shortly (most likely around 10AM).

This will be the final four of each conference (Chinook, Nugget, Saaz, and Walhalla). After this round, we will have one final conference round to determine the winner of each round. From there, the winners of each conference will face off in a Fatal Four Way to determine the winner of this year’s Battle of the Breweries!

Was a busy weekend this weekend for The Beer Thrillers family and headquarters. We traveled out to King of Prussia and The Greater Philadelphia Expo yesterday and got to hit two breweries (Root Down in Phoenixville and Tired Hands in Ardmore), and Saturday there was a craft show that Amy attended with her mom in Carlisle, followed up by us getting to do the Tattered Flag St. Patrick’s Day celebration (amazing food!). You’ll be sure to find articles on this here shortly.

And don’t worry – Amy hasn’t forgotten about the blog either. We discussed this on the trip, we are planning on getting her an hour or so carved out every Sunday for her to write, so it’ll be kind of similar to a weekly column for her. So you’ll be able to soon read articles from her on a near weekly basis on Sundays (or maybe til they get posted – Mondays). So you’ll have that to look forward to.
