J.G. Wentworth Commercial starring Easton’s Two Rivers Brewing Company

Call J.G. Wentworth

Its your money and you need it now.

So who does J.G. Wentworth call when they need – a commercial spot – apparently they call Two Rivers Brewing Company in Easton, Pennsylvania. They are the stars of the latest national commercial for J.G. Wentworth.

They filmed on location at their brewery in 542 Northampton St, Easton, PA 18042.

You can find their latest commercial here at J.G. Wentworth’s Official YouTube Channel: J.G. Wentworth commercial. Or click the play – video button above.

The jingle is so distinct and so known you might have already even seen the commercial, not really paying attention, and hummed along with it or even singing it while looking down at your phone, but if you looked up, and paid attention to the screen you would instantly recognize it as the Two Rivers location.

They have bartenders wearing their shirts, its the iconic building, its the bar you’ve probably sat at and had a pint, the tables you might’ve gone on a date at and had your dinner or lunch. Everything was filmed on location in Easton for the commercial.

How’d It Come About

So why are the people in Easton’s premier brewery – Two Rivers Brewing Company – singing the J.G. Wentworth jingle on national TV?

It’s a long-winded answer…

Dan Hertzog – the director of the commercial

Dan Hertzog is the head of production company In The Wee Hours and is the director behind the J.G. Wentworth commercial. It began airing fall of 2023 and has been airing nationally; typically running during sporting events, sitcoms, and news programs on the major networks.

The story begins when Hertzog moved from Los Angeles to southern New Jersey in January 2020. That summer, he was hired by the Lehigh Valley’s resident auteur Daniel Roebuck to serve as cinematographer on the latter’s film “Lucky Louie,” which was shot around the Lehigh Valley in the fall. That gave Hertzog some familiarity with the area, which was furthered when he teamed up with Roebuck to shoot his next Lehigh Valley-set film, “The Hail Mary,” which is in post-production.

In between those two shoots, Hertzog, who’s worked in the commercial business before, was back in L.A. and connected with J.G. Wentworth. In 2022, the financial company asked Hertzog if he’d be interested in rebooting its famous 2008 commercial that featured a theater troupe of vikings singing the earworm of a jingle.

Call 877-BEER-NOW? Two Rivers stars in J.G. Wentworth’s new national commercial – Lehigh Valley Live

A great boon and advertisement piece for Two Rivers Brewing, especially given the national exposure this commercial creates.

When discussing why he picked Two Rivers Brewing Company, Herzog:

As soon as I saw it, it was my first choice. In my mind, that was the perfect bar. … Anything that’s well-maintained and taken care of and has the character of yesteryear is going to be something. And when I walked in there, it was beautifully maintained. The window light is a big attraction as a cinematographer, the production design aspect is just one big, open space with two pillars to shoot around. It plays really well to the concept.

Dan Herzog – Director of the commercial

In addition to the commercial that is airing nationally, there is several 15 second clip spots that J.G. Wentworth also has of the commercial and the location. All of which can be found at their YouTube Channel: J.G. Wentworth’s YouTube channel.

People have been like ‘hey, that’s Two Rivers. It’s been pretty neat.

The brewery was also featured in the film ‘The Florentine’ in 1999. Starring Hal Holbrook, Luke Perry, Virginia Madsen, Jeremy Davies, Chris Penn, and Mary Stuart Masterson.
