Pine Creek Spirits, located in Elizabethtown PA, in what was at one time the Funk Brewing taproom (see Funk Brewing Fire). (See also: Funk Brewing Taproom closing and Pine Creek Spirits Taking Over.) Located at 28 S Market St, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, the spirits taproom is now permanently closed.

Pine Creek Spirits Logo

Pine Creek Spirits announced on their Instagram post that they will be officially closed, going forward from today.

Their post today reads:

After taking a step back, we have to face the reality that we do not have the ability or resources to reopen. We’re incredibly proud of the team that we had over the years. They fought through a pandemic, a fire, and a failed business partnership. Many people would have thrown in the towel after one of those obstacles, but they perservered over many years to keep fighting for our business to stay alive.

Thank you also to all of our customers. We got to know many of you over the years and you were awesome to us. It makes it that much harder to close the doors. We hope you had as much fun as we did and hopefully we’ll see all of you down the road.

Pine Creek Spirits (Instagram Post – June 29th, 2025)

They previously recently posted this on social media as well:

Sorry everyone, we are taking a week to reorganize and won’t be open. We hope to see everyone at the beginning of next week!

-Pine Creek Spirits (Facebook Post – June 23rd, 2025)

So it looks like they are officially closed. Which is a shame, as its a wonderful location, and a great spot in Elizabethtown. Perhaps a new taproom will go in there, possibly a craft brewery taking over the spot, like how it used to be Funk Brewery’s taproom. Who knows. But we’ll keep you updated if anything does happen with the spot, so keep your eyes peeled on the blog. Cheers.

Human Robot Beer is shutting down their Schuykill Banks location (on May 31st) and are opening new (two to be exact) taphouses. Crime and Punishment just recently closed and it looks like the vacancy will quickly be filled by Human Robot Beer. Human Robot Brewery will move its Schuylkill Banks tasting room to the recently vacated space of Crime and Punishment Brewing Co. at 2711 W. Girard Ave. in Brewerytown. Human Robot also has plans to open a new spot in New Hope, Bucks County.

Human Robot Beer’s Announcement

The Announcement

The following is Human Robot Beer’s announcement on Instagram:

When one door closes, TWO more open!
.
While we are sad to announce that we will be leaving our @humanrobotschuylkillbanks location on May 31st, we are VERY excited to share that we will be opening TWO new tasting rooms in the very near future.
.
@humanrobotgirard is thrilled to announce our move into the former Crime & Punishment location at 2711 W. Girard ave. We are truly honored to uphold the legacy established by Mike P, Wambs, and their amazing team over the last decade. One of our very first “meetings” took place in this space, and it holds a special place in our hearts. We cherish the memories we’ve made there over so many exceptional beers and look forward to creating even more with all of you. Our hope is to get it reopened as soon as possible. Our buddy Poe will be joining us as well, follow @poessidepiece and please follow our new social for updates!
.
@doublesNH is our new concept in New Hope, PA located at 12 W. Mechanic St. This will be a slightly different spin on what we have traditionally done. For one, we are bringing in a partner, @keithashore , to help with design and art and some special extras to be announced. This is being built from the ground up, so it will take a little longer, but look for us hopefully come July. Again, follow the socials there and we will update when we can!
.
Thanks for being on this journey with us and supporting us every step of the way. More info to come!

Human Robot Brewery Expands: New Locations in Brewerytown and New Hope

Crime and Punishment’s Brewery

Human Robot Brewery is making major moves in 2025, relocating its Schuylkill Banks tasting room to Brewerytown and launching a new concept in New Hope. Here’s what beer lovers need to know about these exciting changes.

Human Robot Brewery Takes Over Crime & Punishment’s Former Space

Human Robot Brewery will soon be calling 2711 W. Girard Avenue in Brewerytown its new home. This location, previously occupied by Crime & Punishment Brewing Co. for a decade, will become Human Robot Girard, replacing the brewery’s current Schuylkill Banks outpost, which will close on May 31, 2025. The move comes after Human Robot finalized a $760,000 purchase of the building, although the deal did not include Crime & Punishment’s business or brewing licenses.

The new taproom will retain much of the character and furnishings of Crime & Punishment, with only the brewing equipment being removed to make way for additional seating. Outdoor seating will also be available, and all former Crime & Punishment staff have been offered positions at the new Human Robot location.

What to Expect at Human Robot Girard

Patrons can look forward to the brewery’s signature lagers, pilsners, and innovative brews, including the popular Milktube pours. The food menu will feature sandwiches from Poe’s Side Piece, an offshoot of Poe’s Sandwich Joint, which is already a staple at Human Robot’s flagship in West Kensington. The brewery aims to honor the legacy of Crime & Punishment while bringing its own unique flair to the neighborhood.

Expansion Continues: New Hope Location Set for Summer

In addition to its Brewerytown plans, Human Robot is preparing to open a new tasting room called Doubles at 12 W. Mechanic Street in New Hope, marking its first venture into Bucks County. This ground-up project is expected to debut in July 2025 and will offer a slightly different experience compared to the brewery’s other locations. The New Hope outpost will bring the total number of Human Robot locations to five, including existing taprooms in Kensington, Jenkintown, and East Passyunk.

Human Robot’s Growth and Legacy

Founded in 2020 by Ken Correll, Chris Roller, and Jake Atkinson, Human Robot Brewery has quickly become a Philadelphia favorite, known for its experimental approach and dedication to quality. Head brewer Andrew Foss has helped popularize the use of Czech Lukr faucets, renowned for producing a thick, creamy foam on their beers.

The End of an Era for Crime & Punishment

Crime & Punishment Brewing Co., established in 2015, became a beloved fixture in Brewerytown, crafting nearly 500 unique beers over its ten-year run. The brewery closed its doors in April 2025, leaving behind a legacy of community and creativity that Human Robot aims to honor as it steps into the space.

With these strategic expansions, Human Robot Brewery continues to cement its reputation as one of Philadelphia’s most dynamic craft beer brands, promising new experiences for fans in both Brewerytown and New Hope.

Bitchin’ Kitty Brewery Announces Sudden Closure https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/04/17/bitchin-kitty-brewery-announces-sudden-closure/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=bitchin-kitty-brewery-announces-sudden-closure Thu, 17 Apr 2025 17:15:17 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16236 Bitchin’ Kitty Brewery Announces Taproom Closure

Just today, at 10:10 AM, Bitchin’ Kitty Brewery announced their sudden taproom and brewery closure. They followed it up with a post at 12:40 PM elucidating a bit more on the closure. But, as it stands, their last day as a taproom and brewery will be this Saturday – April 19th, 2025. The Morrisville brewery and taproom was short lived, but well loved, and was a community stalwart, giving much back to the community and hosting several fundraisers and helping with local groups like the Girl Scouts, etc. Just shy of being open for four years, they will be greatly missed. They are located at 58-B East Bridge St, Morrisville, PA 19067.

Bitchin’ Kitty Brewery Announces Taproom Closing

The Announcement

At 10:10 AM today, April 17th, 2025, Bitchin’ Kitty Brewery announced the following on social media:

It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of our taproom. We hope that during our time open you gathered here with friends and family to enjoy our beer and food and our cozy vibes and cat decor. We pride ourselves on starting a resurgence of new hospitality businesses in Morrisville Borough. We will miss our staff and customers dearly and appreciate you all.  Our last full day of service is Saturday April 19th. If you have any inquiries as to if you can purchase any of our equipment/furniture/artwork or to help in anyway please feel free to email us at support@bitchinkitten.com
They then followed it up with this post at 12:40 PM:
While we say goodbye it is important to look back at where we came from. It has been hard not to feel like we failed our customers, but the world and life is not always easy and kind to small businesses. We put all our effort and heart into this brewery and hope to keep the Kitten alive in someway in the future. We will still be open until this Saturday our normal hours. We would appreciate seeing anyone who can come out before we close! We also appreciate any help/purchases of beer, decor, and equipment we have left! Reach out to us on messages or email support@bitchinkitten.com 🐈‍⬛
The taproom is located at 58-B East Bridge St, Morrisville, PA 19067 and as the above posts show – their last day will be this Saturday; April 19th, 2025. The day before Easter (and 4:20). While most comments online have been condolences, memories, and wishing the brewery owners and staff well; they have been questioned about the short notice of the closing, in which they said: “We have contacted all staff individually, they are like family to us.” We hope for all the best for all involved, especially the staff, that they can find new gainful employment quickly. This does seem like a sudden closure, and with little preamble or indication. Recently another Greater Philadelphia area brewery just closed as well – Crime and Punishment Brewing.
2025 is certainly shaping up to be a rough year for the brewing industry, and it is unlikely that this will be the last brewery closing this year. Fingers crossed that it won’t be too many, but there are a lot of factors going against breweries today. Alcohol apathy, changing market trends, demographics, monetary concerns, tariffs on aluminum and other goods, as well as just time itself.

For More Information on Bitchin’ Kitty Brewery

The following comes via Untappd. Bitchin’ Kitty Brewery is a brewpub from Morrisville, PA. They have 52 unique beers and over 9,400 ratings, with a global average rating of 3.74 (as of 4.17.25). Their Untappd description reads: “Bitchin’ Kitten Brewery opened our doors in October 2021 in Morrisville PA. We have an inside taproom and outdoor patio seating which is dog (and cat) friendly. Butler Brew Works Announces Taproom Closure https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/04/01/butler-brew-works-announces-taproom-closure/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=butler-brew-works-announces-taproom-closure Tue, 01 Apr 2025 13:58:38 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16192 Butler Brew Works Announces Taproom Closure

It always has to be hard to make these kinds of announcements on April 1st; just due to the immediate “this has to be an April Fools Joke right?” comments and responses. But; alas, no… this is no April Fools Joke. Today at 8:30 AM the Butler Brew Works Facebook announced that their tap room is closed until further notice. You can find their Facebook post here: Butler Works Announcement.

Butler Brew Works Social Media Announcement

Butler Brew Works Closed

You can read from their Facebook post here:

We apologize for any inconvenience, but our taproom will be closed until further notice.

-Butler Brew Works (Facebook Post)

As I alluded to above, most of the comments whirled around the “is this an April Fools Joke” with others refuting that – no – in fact its not. Despite Butler Brew Works not replying to the post themselves. There was one comment saying “not having a license can do that”, so I took a look to see, and found this: PLCB Status – Butler Brew Works. According to the PLCB; all four of their liquor licenses have expired. Two were for Brewery Storage, one was for a Brewery, and one was for a Brew Pub. All four have expired, with their last two expiring (Brewery Storage and Brewery) on December 31st, 2024. Meaning from January 1st until March 31st of this year they were operating without a license.

Their main brewery location was: 101 S Main St, Butler, PA 16001.

Their taproom location in Valencia was located at: 5031 Adair Ave, Valencia, PA 16059.

Both are already listed as “Permanently Closed” on Google Maps.

So it would indeed seem its hard to keep your tap room open when you do in fact not have a license.

Without operating with one for several months, and most likely getting caught and thus the shut down, I would hazard a guess that it might be quite a while til they re-open (if they do). We will keep you updated when we get more news.

Elysian Brewing’s Georgetown Brewery Closure: What It Means for Seattle’s Beer Scene https://thebeerthrillers.com/2024/11/15/elysian-brewings-georgetown-brewery-closure-what-it-means-for-seattles-beer-scene/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=elysian-brewings-georgetown-brewery-closure-what-it-means-for-seattles-beer-scene Sat, 16 Nov 2024 01:00:28 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=15729 Elysian Brewing’s Georgetown Brewery Closure: What It Means for Seattle’s Beer Scene

Seattle’s craft beer landscape is undergoing yet another shake-up as Elysian Brewing, owned by Anheuser-Busch, announced the permanent closure of its Georgetown production brewery and taproom by December 31st, 2024. This marks the end of an era for a facility that had been a significant contributor to the brand’s identity since its acquisition by the beer giant in 2015. While details are still unfolding, the closure has sparked questions, speculation, and concern within the local beer community.

Elysian Brewing Company’s Georgetown Location

Elysian Brewing’s Georgetown Brewery Closure

The End of Georgetown Production

The Georgetown brewery, known for its large-scale production of popular beers like Space Dust IPA, is shutting its doors, with reports indicating that brewing will now shift to other Anheuser-Busch facilities. The smaller, original Capitol Hill brewery—Elysian’s birthplace—will remain operational and has been touted as the future focal point for the brand. According to Elysian representatives, a $1.7 million investment will be made to expand and enhance the Capitol Hill location.

The Georgetown brewery (located at 5410 Airport Wy S, Seattle, WA 98108), is one of the largest full scale production breweries in Seattle. (It is also one of the largest across the country comparative to many of the other Top Producing Breweries.)

However, the announcement leaves many unanswered questions. What happens to Elysian’s third location, Elysian Fields, near T-Mobile Park? For now, its fate remains unclear, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the brand’s Seattle footprint.

Impact on Employees

Employee layoffs are perhaps the most sobering aspect of this closure. Conflicting reports suggest anywhere from a handful to as many as 90 workers could be affected. According to insiders, most Georgetown staff, including the Brewmaster and Lead Brewer, have already been let go, with only two employees reassigned to the Capitol Hill location.

This isn’t the first instance of such consolidation. Employees have likened the move to what happened at Golden Road Brewing, another Anheuser-Busch-owned craft brewery, where production was similarly centralized.

Did Unionization Play a Role?

Adding a layer of complexity is Elysian’s unionization efforts. In 2022, employees at the Georgetown facility voted to join the Teamsters Union, but negotiations for a labor contract reportedly stalled. Some speculate that the closure could be retaliation for unionization, although this remains unconfirmed. With Anheuser-Busch’s broader workforce already unionized, the relationship between Elysian’s closure and its union efforts remains murky.

A Changing Strategy for Craft Beer

This closure is part of a broader strategy shift for Anheuser-Busch, which recently sold off eight of its craft beer brands, including Seattle’s own Redhook, to cannabis-focused company Tilray Brands. While Elysian wasn’t included in that deal, the move signaled a departure from A-B’s previous approach to craft beer. The focus now appears to be on consolidating production and streamlining operations—a strategy that has clearly impacted Georgetown.

Capitol Hill’s Beer Evolution

Elysian’s Capitol Hill brewery will now bear the weight of the brand’s legacy. Opened in 1996, this location has been the heart of Elysian Brewing, and the company plans to invest in its infrastructure to support both brewing and customer experiences. However, for fans of Elysian’s larger-scale offerings, future batches will be brewed outside Seattle, potentially altering the perception of the once-local favorite.

The move also highlights Capitol Hill’s shifting beer scene. Recent years have seen major changes, such as Stoup Brewing’s acquisition of Optimism Brewing and the sale of Redhook’s E Pike Brewlab to Tilray. Smaller breweries like Outer Planet Brewing remain resilient examples of independent craft beer, but Elysian’s closure underscores the challenges and transformations within the local industry.

What’s Next for Elysian and Seattle Beer Fans?

While Anheuser-Busch paints the closure as an opportunity to refocus on Capitol Hill, many in the community are left questioning what this means for Seattle’s craft beer identity. For now, Elysian enthusiasts can still visit the Capitol Hill pub to enjoy their favorite beers, but the shift in production raises questions about how connected the brand will remain to its Seattle roots.

For beer lovers in the Pacific Northwest, this news serves as a reminder of the ever-changing dynamics of the craft beer industry. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of Elysian’s Space Dust or a casual beer enthusiast, the closure of the Georgetown facility is a bittersweet chapter in the brand’s story. As the dust settles, one thing remains clear: the Seattle beer scene is evolving, and local beer lovers will be watching closely to see what comes next.

Bissell Brothers Closing Their Milo Brewery

Bissell Brothers took to their social media, as well as their website, and such, to post the following announcement:

We are writing with immensely heavy hearts to communicate some very sad news. Summer 2024 will be the last season of operations at Bissell Brothers Three Rivers. This has been the hardest decision we’ve ever had to come to grips with as owners of Bissell Brothers. We understand this will likely come as a tremendous shock and seem impossibly sudden, and in truth we are still coming to comprehend this reality ourselves. We’d like to take some time to outline the factors that have led to this position and how we’re planning to wind down operations with all the respect that the space, town and Team so deeply deserve.

The idea of a second location in our hometown began to crystalize in early 2017; beer and the landscape it exists within was in a very different place than it is today, and bringing some of our success back to our hometown simply felt right. However, we made the decision to open up BB3R knowing full well that it would be a huge undertaking and uphill battle. We were firm in our vision to bring an uncompromising and ever-evolving level of excellence to what we would offer Milo, in the same way we had built our name in Portland. As with opening any business, the move would be filled with risk, and absent of any guarantee of success or assurance of perpetuity.

Our long term goal was of course to eventually make Three Rivers a viable, self-sustaining arm of Bissell Brothers. We had no delusions that this could happen quickly, much less easily. We accepted the fact that we were going to have to effectively subsidize BB3R as it found its footing through income generated in Portland, with the eventual goal of it becoming profitable — as in sustainable — in its own right. Unfortunately, this hope has never come to fruition. With each investment and expansion of BB3R, always in pursuit of a sustainable future, the business itself became exponentially more costly to operate. Despite what always felt like our best efforts and likely has had the outward appearance of a thriving business, our Three Rivers location has always cost more to operate than it generated in income. While we were able to absorb this loss for the better part of the last decade, a variety of economic factors both internal and external to our business have regrettably made this impossible to continue. It’s with deep remorse that we’ve come to this realization. We’ve undoubtedly made plenty of mistakes in trying to bring this business into the black, and we have spent a great deal of time reflecting on those “what-ifs” while grappling with the truth of the “what ares”.

Like many breweries nationwide, our bottom line company-wide is as tight as it has ever been. The broader economic and inflationary conditions have been brutal for businesses of all types; food costs this year have skyrocketed, and people are drinking less beer than they have in decades, as the craft beer landscape has transitioned quite rapidly from an era of limitless exuberance to a more somber phase of maturity and saturation. Last year, the number of microbrewery closures more than doubled the number of openings, and that factor is only expected to increase in 2024. Expenses in literally all categories – payroll, cost of goods, transportation, maintenance, and utilities – have ballooned at a staggering rate. The harsh reality of this all means we can simply no longer afford to operate our second location. We say this in spite of every fiber of our being wishing it were not the case.

When we opened our doors in July 2018, what had felt like a pipe dream miraculously became a reality – a brewery now existed in our hometown. Built off the foundation of the work of Brittany Cunningham and Matty Robinson, our taproom quickly became a community hub. A concept built on excellent beer (and eventually equally excellent food), ultimately became a place about people. The personalities we’ve had the immense privilege of employing over the years are irrefutably the beating heart of BB3R and the reason we’ve amassed such a number of regular and loyal customers. Beyond Britt’s infectious, bubbly spirit, there’s Justin “The Wizard” Qualey’s one-of-a-kind dad jokes; Dustin Small’s understated intelligence and curiosity; Joe Robbins’ stoic confidence and ability that’s garnered national acclaim; Kyle Powell’s undying wit and work-til-you-drop determination; Lisa Kellndorfer’s kind, caring, and compassionate leadership; Beau Rounds’ endless good-natured versatility; Nate Travis’s unrelenting creativity and vibes; Bailey Strom’s oversized heart and attention to detail; Allie Towne’s contagious quirk and love of craft; and Caleb’s Robbins’ endearing, quiet drive. We are acutely aware of what each of these human beings have meant to this business and community. They are what made it happen and what made it all possible for as long as it has been; They made this entire labor of love worth doing for as long as we possibly could, and have NOTHING to do with this unfortunate outcome.

Naturally, our love for each of them is what has made facing this reality so much more brutal. Once our financial situation became apparent to us, we spent the majority of the last few weeks analyzing countless attempts at solutions that would allow us to keep BB3R open and our Team’s livelihoods intact. Unfortunately, each of these scenarios involved drastic paycuts, hugely detrimental changes to our service model and level of quality we provide, and significant layoffs. None of these “alternatives” felt like they did a shred of justice to what the team and community have built over the last six years. Instead, we made the incredibly difficult decision to offer these jobs for the remainder of the season, as it felt like the most equitable card in a horrible deck to provide them all the most time to figure out their next steps Rest assured, we will be doing everything in our collective power to help them land on their feet as gracefully as possible as they transition to the next chapter of their professional lives.

Though it might sound backwards at the moment, it also felt like the right thing to do for BB3R itself. What has grown out of a humble industrial building in need of repair is nothing short of miraculous. The memories made, friendships formed, and community fostered on the property are things we will be deeply proud of and grateful for as long as we live. We’re doing our very best to take on a “don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened” approach during this extremely difficult time. Anger, disappointment, or any other emotions from you are understandable, but what we do ask is you do not direct any of this toward our Team. They are the reason BB3R was possible at all and how it was able to sustain itself as long as it did. This summer is an opportunity to celebrate what happened here, thank these individuals for the myriad ways they have elevated and improved so many lives, and close this chapter with every ounce of love and compassion it began from.

Lastly, we’d also like to speak on the future of the location itself. Ultimately, we don’t have a crystal ball, and the only thing certain right now is that Bissell Brothers will no longer be running the operation as it currently exists. However, our sincere hope is that another individual or group will see the inherent value in the space that has been created over the last six years. We will not be “demolishing” anything, but instead will be leaving what’s in essence a turnkey brewery and restaurant. We’ll be beyond ready to sell/lease the building to any individual or group aspiring to carry on the spirit of the space our team has built, and we will do everything in our control to make this happen as smoothly and economically as possible if/when this presents itself. This is critical to lay out, as the emotion tied to all this is so immense. In bringing BB3R to our hometown, an energy and spirit was injected into a community that desperately needed it. We recognize that fact now the same as we did then, when most people that heard of our plans called us crazy. Over the last six years, we’ve become the third space for an entire region. The importance of what we mean to Milo has shown in the entire Three Rivers Team reaction to this news. Instead of being simply concerned about their own future, the collective was primarily concerned with the future of the community they have all played such a huge role in building and fostering. This sentiment makes this process infinitely more heavy for all of us; the idea of a second-life of sorts that’s able to carry the torch tied to so many human elements lifts our heart, and will do everything in our power to make this happen. We’d love to make promises here, but simply can’t. What we do have is a boatload of hope for the future there.

We’ve shed our share of tears during the course of reckoning with this reality, and there will surely be more to come. We can’t ask you to understand this decision right now or why we feel financially forced to make it, but we’ve done our very best to communicate those realities. In the meantime, please know that we’ve had nothing but the best intentions in daring to open this business in an area very few others would ever dream of. We will forever be indebted for you in taking a chance on us in the same vein as we took one on the town. Despite the end coming much faster than we anticipated, much less hoped for, it will be cemented as one of the most proud and joyous six years of our lives for as long as we’re on this Earth. From the deepest part of our hearts – Thank you.

We love you, Three Rivers. Forever and always.

-Noah, Peter, and Hester Bissell

The Milo Brewery

The Milo Brewery located at 157 Elm St, Milo, ME 04463 – also known as their Three Rivers location, or the Bissell Brothers Three Rivers Brewery. The location opened in July of 2018. Bissell Brothers itself was established in 2013.

For More Information on Bissell Brothers Brewing

The following comes via Untappd.

Bissell Brothers Brewing is a microbrewery from Portland, ME. They have 132 unique beers, and over 530,000 ratings, with a global average rating of 4.16 (as of 6.26.24). Their Untappd description reads: “Bissell Brothers was born out of a desire to make something from our deepest interests and passions that would become a separate entity; greater than the individual sums of its creators. We believe that great beer comes from a commitment to be constantly challenging the perceptions of what different styles of beers can actually become. The second we settle, the second we say that a beer has been taken as far as it can go, we start losing. The proverbial mountaintop exists only in our minds. Always be climbing, always be pushing forward. The next, and equally important commitment, is to the process. There is serenity to be found in even the most menial, repetitive task. There are always ways to improve yourself and your methods, hiding just below the surface. The parties, jokes, and fun we seem to be having? We have created our own world in which to reside, and we love sharing it with all those that want to partake. I promise you, there is no greater joy, professionally. The painfully fleeting span of the human life is much too short and precious to spend it being anything less than the best you can possibly be in your chosen vocation. We love the work we do, for its own sake. We spend every day trying to get better, and we treat the opportunity to give this beer to the people of Maine every week as the gift that it is. Thank you for drinking.”

North Country Brewing is Closing the Corn Crib at Freedom Farms Farmers Market https://thebeerthrillers.com/2023/12/30/north-country-brewing-is-closing-the-corn-crib-at-freedom-farms-farmers-market/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=north-country-brewing-is-closing-the-corn-crib-at-freedom-farms-farmers-market Sat, 30 Dec 2023 23:30:51 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=14359

North Country Brewing Announces They are Closing the Corn Crib at Freedom Farms Farmers Market

North Country Brewing is Closing the Corn Crib at Freedom Farms Farmers Market

North Country Brewing’s time at Freedom Farms Farmers Market is seemingly coming to an end. At what they referred to as their “Corn Crib Taproom”, they have announced they will be closing it in the near future. Their last day of operations will be on February 29th, 2024. No word yet on what, if anything, will be going into the location, possibly another brewery will take over in the future, or possibly it will just become another vendor spot for the Freedom Farms Farmers Market.

Freedom Farms Farmers Market is located at 795 Pittsburgh Rd, Butler, PA 16002. North Country Brewing opened the Corn Crib Taproom in July of 2022. The Freedom Farms Farmers Market is a wonderful farmers market and vendor location, and has been a great second taproom for North Country Brewing. The greenhouse part is really pretty in the late spring / early summertime with the flowers and everything blooming. Freedom Farms Farmers Market is located in Butler County.

The Announcement

North Country Brewing posted the following on their social media accounts:

After careful consideration, we at North Country Brewing Co. have decided to shift our focus to our flagship locations and will be concluding our lease with Freedom Farms/Corn Crib. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the King family for providing us with the opportunity to be a part of their community and for the warm hospitality they have extended to us throughout the past year.

Our last day at The Corn Crib location will be on February 29th. We want to take this moment to reflect on the wonderful experiences and relationships we’ve built during our time here. The memories created will always hold a special place in our hearts.

In the true spirit of the brewing brotherhood, we would like to extend an invitation for a new brewery to step into this space. We believe it presents an excellent opportunity for another passionate group to contribute to and thrive within this vibrant community. For all inquiries please email Freedom Farms at tim@freedomfarmspa.com.

To our loyal patrons, we express our deepest gratitude for your support and patronage. We invite you to join us at our mothership locations to continue enjoying the distinctive North Country Brewing experience.

Thank you once again to the King family, Freedom Farms, and the entire community for being part of our journey. We look forward to creating more memories in the future.
Cheers,

North Country Brewing Co.
