After a successful release last year, both breweries look forward to back-to-back wins. This year’s Gold Package collaboration is a Golden Helles Lager brewed at Lakefront’s facility in Milwaukee.

Two breweries with matching reputations for great beer have teamed up once again. Aptly named after Green Bay season ticket holders primarily based in Milwaukee, Gold Package will be available in both kegs and 6-packs across Wisconsin with an emphasis in the Milwaukee and Green Bay markets.

“I knew Kevin Kuzlik since before he joined Badger State as their Director of Sales, so I reached out as soon as I knew he landed in Green Bay”, says AJ Belling, Northern Wisconsin Sales Rep for Lakefront Brewery, “this collaboration is all about great friendships, quality beer, and showcasing our collective brewing expertise.” “Our former Lead Brewer, Ryan Hillesland, is now the Head Brewer over there, which gave us all the more reason to partner with our friends up north,” says Belling.

“It is quite an honor for us to collaborate with Lakefront Brewery again this year on Gold Package”, says Kuzlik of the Green Bay brewery, “last year we went through 21,000 cans and 150 kegs of it. I can’t wait for beer drinkers across the state to get their hands on this year’s version!”

Just in time for preseason, Gold Package was brewed with Pilsner, Light Munich, and Vienna malts making it a light-bodied, easy-drinking, golden brew rich in flavors of freshly baked bread and honey, with a crisp lager finish. Longtime State Fair aficionados, Benno’s Concessions, are teaming up with Milwaukee mainstay, Lakefront Brewery, to bring you your new favorite State Fair hangout, the “Lakefront Brewery Biergarten”.

Located in the heart of the park, not far from the Bank Five Nine Amphitheater, the Lakefront Brewery Biergarten will be serving up their refreshing beers, slushies, cocktails, and mocktails. You can rely on a Lakefront lineup featuring Riverwest Stein, IPA, Hazy Rabbit, Dive Beer, Fruit Wagon, Oktoberfest, as well as their gluten-free New Grist Pilsner and New Grist Gosa Rita in cans.

“It’s always great to be represented at the best State Fair in the country and partnering with such an experienced State Fair crew like Benno’s”, says Russ Klisch, Owner of Lakefront Brewery.

While Benno’s has poured Lakefront products at the fair in the past, this will be the first year partnering on a stand together. “We’re beyond excited to partner with Lakefront Brewery at our new Lakefront Biergarten location at the Wisconsin State Fair”, says Jacob Hicks, Marketing and Promotions Manager for Benno’s Concessions, “both Benno’s and Lakefront are proud family-founded businesses with deep Milwaukee roots. Lakefront Brewery will host “Brawl in the Beer Hall II: Pour Decisions” featuring former WWE Superstar Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona).

Lakefront Brewery, known for their lively brewery tours, is bringing out the entertainment in a different way, with a live professional wrestling event. “Brawl in the Beer Hall II: Pour Decisions” will occur on Sunday, October 5^th with doors at 5pm and bell time at 7pm. “We’re still reminiscing over last year’s inaugural event”, says Mike Walker, one of the Lakefront representatives who helped bring the event in, “we’ve never seen our Beer Hall as electric as we did that night. We had wrestlers dueling it out on top of our bar, jumping out of our giant beer mug, it was such a fun night”.

From the creators of Warrior Wrestling, one of the nation’s premier independent pro wrestling promotions, you’ll witness a full-scale professional wrestling show inside the brewery’s historic cream city brick building. One of the top independent wrestlers, Matt Cardona (WWE’s Zack Ryder), will Main Event the show, Mad Dog Connelly will challenge Beastman to his infamous Dog Collar Match, and the Tag Team Match that brought down the house in 2024 returns for a best of 3 falls clash. Warrior Wrestling confirmed that additional AEW talent will be announced.

“The first Brawl in the Beer Hall was an unbelievable atmosphere for wrestling fans and newcomers”, says Steve Tortorello, the Creator and Operating Director of Warrior Wrestling, “Lakefront Brewery is the ideal venue for us; we can’t wait to come back!”

Lakefront will open at 5pm with a special dinner menu for all ticket purchasers featuring some fan favorites alongside a wide variety of beverages, including their award-winning beer, wine, and soda. This is a 21+ ticketed event unless accompanied by a parent at all times. This event will include adult themes and language.

MILWAUKEE DIAPER MISSION IS BACK AT LAKEFRONT BREWERY, LOOKING TO PILE THE DIAPERS EVEN HIGHER. Lakefront and Milwaukee Diaper Mission team up for their 3^rd annual diaper drive, after 2 successful events in 2023 and 2024.

Lakefront Brweery Diaper Drive 2025

Lakefront Brewery’s 2024 diaper drive was the 2^nd biggest donation intake event for Milwaukee Diaper Mission bringing in 9,300 diapers and over 19,000 wipes. Lakefront is eyeing that top spot and is asking the community to help get diapers into the hands of the people who need them most.

“Milwaukee Diaper Mission has been such a local hero to the Milwaukee community”, says Liz Mauritz, Lakefront’s Ripple Effect donation program coordinator, “they continue to grow and expand their reach, so we’re excited to support their continued success. Learning how many caretakers struggle with such a basic need as diapers is heartbreaking. Our diaper drives give us that avenue to activate our space and make a difference. As a family-friendly establishment, we see this as an opportunity to give back.”

On Sunday, February 16^th, bring in as many unopened, fully packaged, disposable diapers as you want to Lakefront Brewery from 11AM to 4PM and receive Lakefront cash in return. For every diaper you donate, you will receive $.25 (25 cents) in Lakefront Brewery gift cards to spend in their Beer Hall that day or any day in the future. Lakefront will also be accepting fully packaged baby wipes and training pants, giving out $.25 for each pair of training pants and for every 10 wipes. Milwaukee Diaper Mission will accept all applicable items they can help distribute but please be aware that diapers, training pants, and wipes will be the only items accepted for Lakefront Brewery gift cards.

Locally-focused options such as professional photography from artist Samer Ghani, artisan-made etched pint glasses, an in-house baked mini wedding cake, bouquets and/or boutonnieres from Feisty Flowers, and table reservations (with drinks included) are available. Drag Queen, Ester Flonaze, is back again this year and available to officiate weddings or vow renewals by request free of charge!

Lakefront is excited to celebrate on a fish fry Friday with special “First Dances” for all couples (actual first dance or not) provided by the Brewhaus Polka Kings at 5PM, 6PM, and 7PM. Additionally, Owner Russ Klisch will be performing two free mass vow renewals on stage, one at 12pm and one at 6pm. Couples looking to participate in the mass vow renewals can stop down and do so with a free beer in hand, no reservation or ticket required.

Lakefront notes that all are welcome to reserve a time slot to celebrate their love, ensuring that all feel safe and comfortable in a private space. Reservations are currently available and will close on Friday, February 7^th at 11:59pm. The brewery welcomes couples to bring guests to share in their special day but will work to accommodate each couple based on business needs and space available.

Lakefront Brewery’s Baltic Porter

Lakefront’s new Brewers’ Reserve Baltic Porter Aged in Port Barrels releases this Friday, while supplies last, only at the brewery.

The tenth in the series for Lakefront Brewery, their Brewers’ Reserves are packaged in 12 oz. cans and are only available at their Beer Hall. These limited rare beers allow their brewhouse wizards to experiment with niche-barrel-aged styles concocting inspired treats for your enjoyment.

A descendant of the English Porter, Baltic Porters offer a more robust and sweeter flavor profile perfect for some time spent in a port wine barrel. This dark, cocoa-brown, cold-fermented lager, weaves together layers of malt, toffee, and molasses. The port wine barrel-aging adds flavors of oak plank, vanilla, dried fruit, and marzipan. The ideal pairing for your favorite winter comfort meal or that cozy night by the fire.

Lakefront will be releasing this Brewers’ Reserve this Friday, December 20^th just in time for the holidays and any last-minute gifting needs. This liquid gold comes in at a session-able 6.5% and becomes available in their online ordering menu starting at 9am that day, when you can schedule a pickup time over the weekend. The cans will also be available for purchase at their main bar when they open their doors at 11am, while supplies last. Single cans to-go will run you $3 + tax. A 6-pack will cost $15 + tax.

Lakefront has transformed what were meant to be greenhouses into comfy cozy dining experiences on the Milwaukee Riverwalk. Designed with comfort in mind, each Hop House includes proper floors, seating, lighting, décor, and heaters for those especially cold nights.

Each reservation lasts 90 minutes. During the booking process, a preorder menu will be available for guests to choose from a few Hop House-exclusive items curated by Lakefront’s Executive Chef, Kristin Hueneke. Enjoy specialty hot chocolate, a S’mores package, or a savory S’mores package featuring delectable cheese, cured meats, and crackers. Guests will also have access to Lakefront’s full dining and drink menu by way of QR code in their Hop House creating a seamless experience with little interruption.

Black Friday is a big day for beer, the local brewery looks forward to continuing their tradition of hosting one of the biggest Milwaukee beer events of the year.

It’s not too long after Thanksgiving dinner that beer fans will begin to line up at the Milwaukee staple on Commerce Street. Their doors will open at 8AM the next day to a line of hundreds of excited and thirsty Black Friday guests.
“We have created three barrel-aged beers that have been aging all year and a triple IPA that are all world class and that are only available on Black Friday”, says Russ Klisch, President and Co-Founder of Lakefront Brewery, “Besides the great beer, I always look forward to spending time with folks out in line where there’s an unmatched level of excitement.”

Lakefront offers up the following 4 varieties of their rare Black Friday™ beer to take home:

• 2024 Black Friday™ Imperial Stout | Aged in Bourbon and Brandy barrels, the 2024 version of our gold standard brew combines massive caramel and roasted malts with huge vanilla and oak flavor. Sold for $20 each plus tax.
• 2024 Black Friday™ Triple Black IPA | Big, bold, and hoppy, this Triple Black IPA hits the glass obsidian black with a foamy tan head kicking up aromas of chocolate, orange zest, and rose water. Gratuitous Cascade, Chinook, and Centennial hops yield up-front citrus and tropical fruit notes, while Belgian caramel malts lend balance and sweet cocoa and caramel flavors. Sold for $20 each plus tax.
• 2024 Black Friday™ Imperial Brown Ale Aged in Wollersheim Winery Port Barrels | A big, hearty Imperial Brown Ale aged in Port wine barrels from Wisconsin’s own Wollersheim Winery. Brought together, flavors of brown bread crusts and caramel malt roll into port notes of oak plank, vanilla, dried fruit, and marzipan. Sold for $30 each plus tax.
• 2024 Black Friday™ 5-Year-Old | This big stout has been asleep in Bourbon barrels since 2019. The big, roasty, chocolatey Imperial Stout left all traces of alcohol heat behind in the barrel and picked up flavors of vanilla, pecan praline, marzipan, and a touch of pipe tobacco. All varieties will be packaged in colorful 19.2 oz. cans and placed in dynamic individual boxes with no limit to the amount that an individual can purchase. Lakefront notes that the yield of 2024 Black Friday™ beers will be shorter than in recent years as only 2,000 cans of the regular version and only 1,000 of each varietal will be available. Show up early this year to enjoy breakfast items (and cheese curds) from their famous CurdWagon starting at 5AM. Our gift shop inside will open early with exclusive Black Friday items and other warm weather garb if your preparations weren’t up to snuff.

Lakefront is excited to announce the return of the Warm Hearts Community Coat Drive benefiting students of George Washington Carver Elementary. Guests who donate a laundered, gently used coat suitable for youth ages 3 to 14 years will receive one bottle/can of a prior year’s Black Friday™. Guests may donate additional coats with a maximum of 2 bottles/cans per donor over 21. Coats will be accepted conditionally at Lakefront Brewery’s discretion to ensure immediate wearability. Curd Day (2024) at Lakefront Brewery

LAKEFRONT BREWERY PREPARES TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL CHEESE CURD DAY, HOLDS A CHEESE CURD PULL COMPETITION

It’s the 7^th annual event from the local brewery that has championed the art of fried cheese curds, the proper garlic ranch dipping sauce, and how to produce specialty flavor varieties.

One of Lakefront Brewery’s favorite days of the year has returned! Tuesday, October 15^th is National Cheese Curd Day and Lakefront is opening early at 11AM to celebrate. The event will feature their gold standard beer-battered curds with their classic garlic ranch as well as their favorite Thursday Curdsday flavors from the past year. Every Thursday, Lakefront features a specialty curd flavor, these 3 flavors are making their return for the big day.

Chicken Fried Cheese Curds – A little bit of chicken fried, a cold beer on a Tuesday night. Fresh cheddar cheese curds are battered and breaded then deep fried and seasoned with 11 secret spices. Served with brown gravy for dipping.

General Tso – Sweet, spicy, and savory. Fresh cheddar cheese curds are battered, breaded, and deep fried, then tossed in sweet and spicy sauce. Topped with chili pepper flakes and chives.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – The favorite ice cream flavor is now a cheese curd variety! Fresh cheddar cheese curds are tossed in a sweet batter then breaded with chocolate chip cookie crumbles and deep fried. Topped with cookie dough chunks and served with chocolate syrup.

All 4 options will be available in their standard portion size, usually good for 2 to 3 people. Guests can order all 3 of the above specialty flavors for a $3 discount. Lakefront’s Gluten-Free CurdWagon will be out front from 5PM to 7PM dishing out gluten-free regular curds for those that wish to celebrate safely.

After successful returns last year, the Lakefront Brewery Cheese Curd Pull Competition is back! Teams of 2 can sign up to compete in the contest. Choose the stretchiest curd from the bunch, step up to the pull markers, and test your dexterity against the field. Competitions will occur at 5PM, 6PM, and 7PM with times being added as needed. Reservations require a deposit of $12 but will include 2 drinks upon arrival with non-alcoholic products available for those interested or under 21 (must be 21+ to compete unless accompanied by a parent). The team with the longest cheese curd string from each contest will receive two $15 gift cards from Lakefront Brewery.
