If there are two things Americans love, it’s football and beer. And what better way to combine them than by finding the nearest craft brewery to every NFL stadium? Whether you’re traveling for an away game, tailgating with friends, or just want to explore new taprooms, this guide lays out exactly which brewery is closest to each of the NFL’s 30 stadiums (remember, the Giants/Jets and Chargers/Rams share homes).

We’ve mapped out the nearest on-site breweries to every stadium, with exact coordinates and precise distances (straight-line, great-circle measurement). This isn’t a rough estimate—it’s as accurate as it gets without breaking out a tape measure on game day.

Observations

  • Shortest Walk for a Pint: Seattle Seahawks fans win this one — Pyramid Alehouse is basically across the street from Lumen Field (0.1 miles).

  • Cincinnati Close Second: Bengals fans at Paycor Stadium can stroll over to Moerlein Lager House in under half a mile.

  • Longest Trek: Buffalo Bills fans have to head ~8 miles to Buffalo Brewing Company. But let’s be real, Bills Mafia is tailgating in the lots anyway.

  • Brewery Culture Hotspots: Cities like Denver, Seattle, Charlotte, Philly, and Minneapolis have multiple breweries within walking distance of the stadium.

Beer and Football – A Perfect Pair

Key Takeaways

  • Closest Pair: Patriots fans win with Wormtown Brewery’s Patriot Place taproom, only 0.14 miles away from Gillette Stadium.
  • Big Beer Desert: Arrowhead Stadium and Commanders Field are both over 5 miles from the nearest brewery.
  • Beer Hotbeds: Green Bay, Detroit, Philly, and Minneapolis have breweries practically across the street.

Why This Matters for Beer and Football Fans

  • Travel Planning: Away game? Know where to pregame with fresh craft beer.
  • Local Flavor: Each stadium has its own beer scene—some are surrounded by breweries, others are beer deserts.
  • Beer Tourism: Football season is the perfect excuse to visit a new brewery.

Conclusion

Football and beer go hand in hand, and no matter which stadium you’re at, there’s a brewery nearby worth checking out. Some fan bases have it better than others—Packers fans can walk across the street, while Commanders fans may have to Uber—but either way, beer and football continue to be a match made in heaven.

So next time you’re headed to a game, remember this list, support your local brewery, and raise a glass to touchdowns and good beer.

No matter which team you root for, there’s a craft brewery nearby waiting to serve you on game day. The rise of local beer near stadiums shows how intertwined football culture and the craft beer scene have become. Next time you head out to a game, consider supporting a local brewery before kickoff.

NFL Stadium Beer Prices for the 2025 Season – From $6.80 to $16.49 (and Higher) https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/08/15/nfl-stadium-beer-prices-for-the-2025-season-from-6-80-to-16-49-and-higher/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=nfl-stadium-beer-prices-for-the-2025-season-from-6-80-to-16-49-and-higher Fri, 15 Aug 2025 21:29:45 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16575 NFL Stadium Beer Prices for the 2025 Season – From $6.80 to $16.49 (and Higher)

There’s nothing quite like the marriage of two of America’s greatest obsessions: football and beer. Whether you’re tailgating in the parking lot hours before kickoff, grabbing a cold one while cheering from the stands, or yelling at your TV from the comfort of your couch — beer is part of the NFL experience.

But if you’re heading to a game this season, you might want to check your wallet before you order that pint. Because depending on where you are, you could be paying as little as $6.80 or as much as $16.49 for a single 16-ounce beer. And if you’re unlucky enough to be in Philly, you might even see $18.50 staring back at you from the concession stand menu.

(See our article about prices at the MLB Ballparks – The Average Cost of Beer Per Ballpark (2025) .)

So let’s dive into the full stadium-by-stadium beer price breakdown for the 2025 NFL season.

Recent NFL Stadiums that hosted the Super Bowl

Average Beer Price Across the NFL – 2025 Season

The league-wide average price for a 16-ounce beer in NFL stadiums sits right around $9.76, based on the most recent available data from the 2024–2025 season. This figure reflects standard draft pricing — not the inflated “premium” options you might encounter in certain stadiums.

NFL Stadium Beer Prices – 2025 Chart

Rank Team Stadium Price (16 oz)
1 Washington Commanders FedEx Field $16.49
2 Las Vegas Raiders Allegiant Stadium $14.99
3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Raymond James Stadium $14.25
4 San Francisco 49ers Levi’s Stadium $14.00
4 Los Angeles Chargers SoFi Stadium $14.00
4 Los Angeles Rams SoFi Stadium $14.00
7 New York Giants MetLife Stadium $13.00
7 New York Jets MetLife Stadium $13.00
9 Houston Texans NRG Stadium $12.79
10 Miami Dolphins Hard Rock Stadium $12.00
11 New Orleans Saints Caesars Superdome $11.75

13 Philadelphia Eagles Lincoln Financial Field $11.24
14 Baltimore Ravens M&T Bank Stadium $10.99
15 Tennessee Titans Nissan Stadium $10.73
16 Green Bay Packers Lambeau Field $10.50

18 Jacksonville Jaguars TIAA Bank Field $10.24
19 Pittsburgh Steelers Acrisure Stadium $9.99
20 Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium $9.71
20 Seattle Seahawks Lumen Field $9.71
22 Buffalo Bills Highmark Stadium $9.40
23 Kansas City Chiefs Arrowhead Stadium $9.20

31 Cleveland Browns Cleveland Browns Stadium $7.15
32 Cincinnati Bengals Paycor Stadium $6.80

Beer Price Leaders and Losers

  • Most Expensive: Washington Commanders — $16.49 for a 16 oz pour. That’s nearly the price of a six-pack at your local craft beer shop.

  • Most Affordable: Cincinnati Bengals — $6.80, proving that the Queen City still knows how to take care of its fans.

  • Biggest “What the Hell?” Moment: Philadelphia Eagles — $11.24 standard… but an $18.50 Miller Lite made headlines this preseason.

Why the Huge Price Differences?

A lot of factors go into these prices:

  • Market size and cost of living (New York, LA, DC tend to be pricier)

  • Team ownership philosophy (some owners see concessions as profit goldmines, others try to keep them affordable)

  • Stadium contracts with vendors and distributors

  • Fan demand and willingness to pay

And of course, once you’re in the stadium, they’ve got you. No outside beverages allowed, and unless you’re nursing a $6.50 bottle of water, you’re paying the going rate for beer.

A Craft Beer Fan’s Perspective

Here at The Beer Thrillers, we’re all about quality, variety, and flavor. So when I see someone dropping $16 on a watery macro lager, my beer-loving heart hurts. That same $16 could get you a hazy IPA from a local brewery, a barrel-aged stout, or three pours at your favorite taproom.

That said… when you’re in the middle of a roaring stadium, your team is in the red zone, and the crowd is electric — maybe, just maybe — the beer tastes a little better (even if your wallet feels lighter).

Final Take

Beer prices in NFL stadiums are going nowhere but up. If you’re a die-hard fan, budget accordingly. If you’re a craft beer drinker, maybe save your serious sipping for the pregame tailgate or post-game brewery stop.

Either way, beer and football aren’t breaking up anytime soon.

Beer Review: Chewbacca (Rotunda Brewing Company) https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/04/29/beer-review-chewbacca-rotunda-brewing-company/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=beer-review-chewbacca-rotunda-brewing-company Wed, 30 Apr 2025 02:45:07 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16296 Beer Review: Chewbacca by Rotunda Brewing Company

I first had this beer back in October of 2019. (Which feels like ancient history.) And I remember wanting to write a review of it even back then for the site…. and for some reason I never did. Not sure why exactly. Maybe I just didn’t get around to it or something, but I even kept my photo of the beer on my desktop screen this whole time. Ironically, I recently had it again, so what better opportunity to revisit the beer for my second beer review release for Andor: Season 2. Last week I reviewed – Admiral (J Henry Barrel Aged Grand Stout) by Delta Beer Lab – and so this week, we’ll taking a look at a much closer brewery – Rotunda Brewing Company with their Imperial Black IPA (or Imperial Cascadian IPA). This is one of my favorite styles of beer, I love Black IPAs, and Double Black IPAs are event better.

But before we dive in, I want everyone to please take a look at our stream / podcast / video we made on YouTube. It stars myself, Drew of Knights of Nostalgia, and Tim (Aglets). You can view it here:

In the video we cover the first three episodes of Andor. So please be sure to check it out!

And now, onto the review!

Chewbacca by Rotunda Brewing Company (at the Rising Sun in 2019)

The Beer Review: Chewbacca by Rotunda Brewing Company

Beer: Chewbacca
Brewery: Rotunda Brewing Company
Style: Imperial Black IPA / Double Black IPA
ABV: 8%
IBU: N / A
Untappd Description: (Blank)

Let’s check out this Wookie beast (not to be confused with the Wookie Monster by Fourscore). Will someone get this Walking Carpet out of my way so I can type!

Appearance

Chewbacca pours a deep, opaque brown-almost bordering on black-with a creamy, tan head that lingers like a loyal Wookiee companion. The lacing is impressive, clinging to the glass with each sip, leaving behind a trail reminiscent of hyperspace streaks.

Aroma

Right out of the gate, there’s a punch of roasted malt-think dark chocolate and fresh-brewed coffee-balanced by a piney, resinous hop profile. There’s a subtle undercurrent of caramel and a hint of citrus, like orange peel, that peeks through as it warms. The aroma is bold and inviting, promising complexity.

Chewbacca by Rotunda Brewing Company

Taste

The first sip delivers a satisfying interplay between roasted malt bitterness and assertive hop character. Notes of espresso and bittersweet cocoa dominate up front, quickly joined by pine, grapefruit, and a touch of earthy spice. The Black IPA style shines here: the hops never overwhelm the malt backbone, instead weaving together in a harmonious, chewy mouthfeel. The 9.2% ABV is well-hidden, but there’s a gentle warmth in the finish that lets you know this is a beer worthy of a Wookiee.

Mouthfeel

Medium to full-bodied, with a creamy carbonation that lifts the flavors without feeling heavy. The finish is dry, with lingering roast and a pleasant, resinous bitterness that invites another sip.

Overall Impressions

Chewbacca is a robust, well-executed Black IPA that balances dark roast and hop bite with finesse. It’s a bold tribute to its namesake-complex, powerful, and just a little wild. Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or simply a lover of big, hoppy dark ales, this is a beer that deserves a spot in your cantina. Untappd’s 3.8/5 rating feels right, but I’d nudge it a bit higher for the sheer fun and craftsmanship.

Wrap Up

My Untappd Rating: ****.25
Global Untappd Rating: 3.8 (out of nearly 1000 ratings) (as of 4.25.25)

May the hops be with you-always.

I’m gonna have to check the archives of the site here, or on my computer, to see if I have any notes or anything from the initial first time I drank the beer, if maybe I started a review and then sadly – for whatever reason – never got around to finishing it. Maybe I was waiting for the right chance to post it, and never found it. Who knows, there’s over 70+ articles in my “draft” folder here on the site, some day I’ll get around to posting them…. unfortunately that day is not today though. But be sure to come back to the site, who knows, maybe it’ll be tomorrow…..

And check back next Tuesday for another (hopefully) Star Wars themed beer release. Over the weekened is May the Fourth Be With You, so once again, hopefully I’ll be able to grab some of the RAR Star Wars themed beers and will be able to review them weekly!

Cheers all and thank you for reading!

The Average Cost of Beer Per Ballpark (2025) https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/03/28/the-average-cost-of-beer-per-ballpark-2025/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-average-cost-of-beer-per-ballpark-2025 Fri, 28 Mar 2025 19:37:50 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16377 The Average Cost of Beer Per Ballpark

Beer and baseball just go together…. like… baseball and cracker jacks…. or baseball and peanuts…. or baseball and soft pretzels. You know… come to think of it, all of these foods are very salty and make you want to drink… I wonder if thats a coincidence?

Beer prices at Major League Baseball (MLB) stadiums in 2025 vary significantly, reflecting each team’s pricing strategies and efforts to enhance fan experience. While some teams have introduced value menus to offer more affordable options, others maintain higher prices, especially for premium or craft selections. So its no wonder you wanna know where you can get the most bang for your buck, so lets see what stadiums and ballparks have the best cost to beer ratios!

Union Craft Brewing’s beer at Camden Yards. (photo courtesy of Union Craft Brewing)

Average Beer Prices Across MLB Stadiums

Based on available data, the average price for a 16-ounce domestic beer at MLB stadiums in 2025 is approximately $7.50. However, prices can range from as low as $3.00 to as high as $15.00, depending on the stadium and beer type.

Notable Examples

  • Most Expensive: At Steinbrenner Field, home to the Tampa Bay Rays’ spring training, a 16-ounce beer can cost up to $15.00, the highest reported in the league. Bookies.com

  • Affordable Options: Teams like the Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers have introduced value menus, offering beers for as low as $5.00 to attract more fans and provide a family-friendly experience. MarketWatch

  • Special Promotions: The St. Louis Cardinals offer $5.00 beers at the Budweiser Terrace during all games, providing fans with a more affordable beverage option. Reddit

Price Per Ounce

Analyzing beer prices per ounce provides additional insight:

  • Highest Per Ounce: The San Francisco Giants have one of the highest per-ounce prices at $0.73, reflecting the premium pricing at Oracle Park. ESPN.com

  • Lowest Per Ounce: The Colorado Rockies offer beers at $0.25 per ounce, making Coors Field one of the most affordable stadiums for beer.

Average Beer Prices in 2025

While the average beer price at MLB stadiums in 2025 hovers around $7.50 for a 16-ounce domestic beer, fans can find both more affordable and more expensive options depending on the stadium and available promotions. Teams are increasingly offering value menus and special deals to enhance the game-day experience and make attending games more accessible to a broader audience.

🍺 Average Beer Prices at MLB Ballparks (2025 Season)

Team Stadium Average Beer Price
Baltimore Orioles Oriole Park at Camden Yards 10.99$
Boston Red Sox Fenway Park 10.50$
Chicago White Sox Guaranteed Rate Field 10.50$
Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field 10.49$
San Francisco Giants Oracle Park 9.00$
Pittsburgh Pirates PNC Park 8.91$
Milwaukee Brewers American Family Field 8.49$
Texas Rangers Globe Life Field 8.00$
Philadelphia Phillies Citizens Bank Park 7.69$
Houston Astros Minute Maid Park 7.50$
New York Mets Citi Field 7.50$
Cincinnati Reds Great American Ball Park 7.49$
Los Angeles Dodgers Dodger Stadium 7.00$
Oakland Athletics Oakland Coliseum 7.00$
New York Yankees Yankee Stadium 6.00$
Detroit Tigers Comerica Park 5.29$
St. Louis Cardinals Busch Stadium 5.25$
Miami Marlins loanDepot Park 5.00$
Tampa Bay Rays Tropicana Field 5.00$
Cleveland Guardians Progressive Field 5.00$
Kansas City Royals Kauffman Stadium 5.00$
Seattle Mariners T-Mobile Park 5.00$
San Diego Padres Petco Park 5.00$
Minnesota Twins Target Field 4.99$
Atlanta Braves Truist Park 4.99$
Arizona Diamondbacks Chase Field 4.99$
Los Angeles Angels Angel Stadium 4.50$
Toronto Blue Jays Rogers Centre 4.44$
Colorado Rockies Coors Field 3.00$
Washington Nationals Nationals Park 3.00$

Now, as you can see, by the low prices of some of these parks, this obviously doesn’t indicate the best beer is being consumed! The math was accumulated over the total prices of beer items listed in various places in the parks, and also takes in some discounts and different methods that some (season ticket holders, etc.) have of reducing the costs. Its also prince per ounce, so costs may seem off balance due to this as well.

Numbers and information comes via Market Watch.

Beer Busters Podcast: Episode 269: So Long, and Thanks for all the Beer

Beer Busters Podcast

Beer Busters is a podcast dedicated to celebrating and exploring the world of craft beer. The show was founded in 2013 by brothers Dan and Wayne Baker, along with their cousin Steph Heffner. Since its inception, Beer Busters has been a bi-weekly podcast where the hosts sit down with brewers, owners, representatives, and others in the craft beer industry to sip brews and discuss various topics related to beer. The podcast format typically includes:

  1. Interviews with industry professionals
  2. Discussions about beer history and brewing techniques
  3. News segments about the craft beer world
  4. Interactive segments like “Know Your Beers” and “Happy Fun Time”

For example, in a 2015 episode, Dan brought news stories about NFL beer prices and Metallica beer cans, while Steph taught listeners how to prepare for a beer event in the “Know Your Beers” segment. Over the years, Beer Busters has covered a wide range of topics, including:

  • The history and origins of non-alcoholic beer
  • Different beer production methods
  • Community reactions to various beer trends
  • Beer-related events, particularly in the Philadelphia area

The podcast has featured numerous guests from the craft beer industry. In a December 2022 episode, they hosted Matthew Steinberg (Co-Founder and Head Brewer) and Kelsey Roth (General Manager) from Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company, discussing topics such as local sourcing, sustainable practices, and social initiatives in brewing. Beer Busters has maintained its presence across various podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and others. The show continues to provide listeners with a mix of education, entertainment, and insider perspectives on the craft beer industry.

Meet the Beer Busters

The Beer Busters podcast is primarily hosted by three individuals:

  1. Dan Baker: One of the founding members of the podcast, Dan is a brother to Wayne and cousin to Steph. He often takes the lead in hosting segments like “Happy Fun Time” and brings news stories to discuss on the show.
  2. Steph Heffner: Another founding member, Steph is a cousin to Dan and Wayne. She has been known to lead educational segments like “Know Your Beers,” sharing her knowledge about beer and brewing with listeners.
  3. Wayne Baker: The third core member of the podcast, Wayne is Dan’s brother. While sometimes absent from episodes due to other commitments, he is an integral part of the team and contributes to the show’s dynamic.

These three hosts have been consistently involved with Beer Busters since its inception in 2013. They travel to breweries and other beer-related locations to record episodes, interviewing industry professionals and exploring various aspects of craft beer culture. Occasionally, the podcast features guest hosts or longtime friends of the show. For example:

  1. Mark Graves: Described as “Slimy Sauce himself,” Mark is a longtime friend from the earliest days of Beer Busters who has filled in for Wayne when he was unable to attend a recording session.

The Beer Busters team has maintained their dedication to celebrating and exploring the world of craft beer for over a decade, providing listeners with a mix of education, entertainment, and insider perspectives on the brewing industry

Find the Beer Busters

You can still find the Beer Busters through these different means (websites, podsites, social media, etc.) Their content will most likely be staying online for the near foreseeable future; no word on if or when it will be taken down.

For over a decade, hosts Dan Baker, Steph Heffner, and Wayne Baker traveled to breweries and beer-related locations, bringing listeners a unique blend of education, entertainment, and insider perspectives on the brewing industry. Their dedication to celebrating and exploring the world of craft beer resonated with audiences, earning them a loyal following and a 4.8-star rating on Apple Podcasts.
Throughout its run, Beer Busters consistently delivered engaging content, featuring interviews with industry professionals, discussions on beer history and brewing techniques, and interactive segments like “Know Your Beers” and “Happy Fun Time”. The podcast’s final episode, aptly titled “So Long, And Thanks For All The Beer,” aired on January 19, 2025, marking the end of an era for craft beer enthusiasts. In their farewell message, the hosts expressed gratitude to their listeners and encouraged them to “be true to yourselves and kind to each other,” reflecting the warm and inclusive spirit that characterized the show. The podcast ran from May 6, 2013, to January 19, 2025, completing 275 episodes over nearly 12 years. They maintained their signature style of traveling to breweries, interviewing industry professionals, and featuring their popular “Happy Fun Time” segments throughout their run.
Beer Busters’ legacy extends beyond its audio content. The podcast played a significant role in showcasing Pennsylvania’s German brewing heritage and leadership in brewing German-style lagers. By providing a platform for brewers, owners, and industry representatives to share their stories and expertise, Beer Busters contributed to the growth and appreciation of craft beer culture. As the craft beer landscape continues to evolve, the impact of Beer Busters’ 12-year journey in educating and entertaining beer enthusiasts will undoubtedly be remembered and cherished by its dedicated listeners.

Co-owner Rick Russell shared that this temporary closure is a strategic decision to “evolve” the restaurant into something more in line with their original vision. “Restaurants go through evolutionary periods, and we are experiencing that right now,” Russell explained. “We’re fortunate enough to be able to pause operations and make these changes.”

The plan is to keep the restaurant closed through the start of 2025, but the venue will remain open for private events, live concerts, and comedy nights during the interim. Brewing operations will also continue without interruption, ensuring that Englewood Hershey’s craft beers will still be available to guests.

A Reboot for Englewood Hershey: What Changes Are Coming?

Englewood Hershey originally opened its doors in 2020, housed in a historic barn, as part of a multimillion-dollar project. The establishment quickly became a staple in the Hershey area for its combination of great food, craft beer, and live music. But, according to Russell, the experience has drifted towards a more casual atmosphere than initially intended.

Russell and business partner Jeff Sharp, who operate under Loto Station, LLC, are committed to refining Englewood’s identity. The reboot will include changes to the dining room, a refreshed menu, and an overall more upscale vibe.

Russell emphasized that these updates are necessary to keep Englewood relevant in the fast-paced restaurant industry. “It’s a reboot, and I think it’s part of the evolutionary change of restaurants,” he said. “We want to make it stronger and more customer-focused.”

Englewood Hershey’s Brewing Continues – And So Does Roasting

Though the restaurant is on hiatus, guests can still visit Englewood Roasting Company. This establishment, located at the former Cocoa Beanery on the same property, will remain open with extended hours and an expanded lunch menu during the restaurant’s closure.

Past Closures and Challenges: Water Damage Issues

(See: The Englewood Re-Opens)

Englewood Hershey has had to close twice in the past due to water damage. In late December 2022, a cold snap caused pipes to burst, forcing a seven-week closure. A year prior, a faulty sprinkler system also flooded parts of the venue, resulting in a temporary shutdown. Despite these setbacks, Russell and his team remain committed to ensuring the long-term success of the venue.

We are working on a massive project here at The Beer Thrillers. We are creating a map of all of the breweries across the United States. State by state we are adding maps of all of the different states with every brewery in each state. (We will eventually get to the US Territories, as well as the Canadian Provinces, and possibly more countries; as well as doing some fun maps like a map of all the breweries we’ve been to, and other fun maps.) You can find the brewery maps here:

We are also working on a project of creating printable and downloadable PDFs and resources to be able to check and keep track of all of the breweries you’ve been to. So stay tuned for that project once we are finished with the Brewery Maps of the US States.
