A Landmark Opening for Yuengling at HIA

Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) recently announced the upcoming debut of the Yuengling 1829 Bar & Grill, slated to open by Labor Day. This exciting venture offers flyers and beer enthusiasts alike a unique opportunity to sample Yuengling’s storied brews and classic fare just steps from their gate. The new establishment will not only serve a full range of Yuengling’s celebrated beers on tap and in bottles but also pair them with a thoughtfully crafted bar and grill menu.

Why Yuengling Brewery Is a Craft Beer Icon

Historic Roots—America’s Oldest Brewery

Founded in 1829 by David G. Yuengling in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Yuengling Brewery has long been synonymous with American brewing tradition. Remaining family-owned across six generations, the brewery expertly blends old-world craftsmanship with modern innovation.

Expanding Reach & Market Impact

Yuengling is not only the oldest operating brewery in the U.S., but also the country’s largest craft brewery by sales volume. Despite industry challenges and competition from macro-brewers, Yuengling’s approachable lagers and ales continue to win new fans, gaining market share even against national giants.

Signature Beers to Enjoy at the Airport

Visitors to the Yuengling 1829 Bar & Grill can expect to experience the brewery’s flagship pours, including:

  • Traditional Lager: A rich amber lager with roasted caramel malt and balanced hopping—synonymous with “lager” in much of Pennsylvania

  • Light Lager: Lower in calories, but full-flavored and crisp.

  • Black & Tan: A flavorful blend of 60% Dark Brewed Porter and 40% Premium Beer.

  • Golden Pilsner: A modern pilsner with a blend of Hallertau and Saaz hops.

  • FLIGHT: Yuengling’s low-cal, low-carb beer for modern palates.

  • Other classics like Lord Chesterfield Ale and Premium Pilsner round out the offerings

Experience & Amenities

Travelers can look forward to a destination that celebrates not only excellent beer, but also Pennsylvania’s hospitality:

  • Historical Beer Selection: Enjoy brews nearly two centuries in the making.

  • Locally-Inspired Cuisine: The menu is expected to showcase regional favorites and classic American fare.

  • Unique Environment: The bar and grill will be designed to immerse guests in Yuengling’s heritage.

  • Convenient for Flyers: Located inside HIA, making craft beer accessible to travelers from across the country

About Yuengling’s Legacy

Since its earliest days as Eagle Brewery in Pottsville, Yuengling has persevered through Prohibition, economic hardships, and intense market competition. Its ability to maintain consistency, quality, and independence has helped the brewery earn a loyal following and a prominent place in the American craft beer movement.

  • Production: Multiple facilities, including the original Pottsville site and a Tampa, Florida brewery.

  • Recognition: Frequently ranked as America’s largest craft brewer.

  • Family-Owned: Now under the leadership of Richard Yuengling Jr., the brewery continues to innovate while honoring tradition

Overview of Harrisburg International Airport (HIA)

Harrisburg International Airport (IATA: MDT) is the primary commercial airport serving South Central Pennsylvania and is located in Middletown, about nine miles southeast of Harrisburg. The airport is served by major carriers including Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, and United, ensuring accessibility to key U.S. hubs and beyond.

Facilities and Traveler Experience

HIA stands out for its traveler-friendly amenities and efficient layout. The terminal, completed in 2004, features 12 gates and a range of services such as free Wi-Fi, rocking chairs in the waiting area, an observation deck, a variety of dining and retail options, and rental car services on-site. The multi-modal transportation facility provides ample parking and easy access to ground transportation, including limos, taxis, hotel shuttles, and public transit. Clean, quiet facilities, short lines, and convenient highway access further contribute to a hassle-free airport experience, making HIA a preferred choice for residents and visitors in Central Pennsylvania.

Travelers passing through Harrisburg International Airport soon won’t just be catching flights—they’ll be toasting to Pennsylvania’s enduring beer legacy with a pint of Yuengling in hand. Whether you’re a craft beer aficionado or simply craving a taste of local flavor, the Yuengling 1829 Bar & Grill will be a must-visit destination on your journey.

YAH Brew to Turn the Old Tattered Flag Location Into an Event Space https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/07/15/yah-brew-to-turn-the-old-tattered-flag-location-into-an-event-space/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=yah-brew-to-turn-the-old-tattered-flag-location-into-an-event-space Wed, 16 Jul 2025 00:20:35 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16500 YAH Brew to Turn the Old Tattered Flag Location Into an Event Space

While their announcement via YAH Brew Hershey’s social media seems cryptic about its location, astute patrons of both YAH Brew and Tattered Flag can immediately see that this is no mere “Middletown location”. It can be only one location and one play… the old Tattered Flag location. Amy and I were sitting at Boneshire Brew Works, enjoying a Que Sera and the Baron Margarita Gose while eating our favorite Bacon and Thyme pizza when we saw the YAH Brew post – just one minute old, and we immediately recognized the location. On the same day where we announced Appalachian Brewing Company closing their Harrisburg brewpub, a craft beer staple in Pennsylvania, it looks like YAH Brew is tapping into nostalgia and craft beer history and reclaiming an old craft beer hangout and mainstay for the Central PA area and bringing it back. Dipping into their own nostalgia to do so, what perfect news on this day! It was late October last year (2024) when we announced that Tower Investments bought the Tattered Flag location, you can read about that here: Tattered Flag Brewery & Still Works Sold to California-Based Tower Investments.

YAH Brew looks to be taking over the old Tattered Flag Middletown brewery location.

The Announcement

The following is the announcement just posted about an hour ago on YAH Brew Hershey’s Facebook page:

Welp…here we go again!
Throughout the year we receive many inquires about hosting private events in our taprooms. As much as we love and appreciate hearing that y’all want to celebrate and create cherished memories in our space, we often cannot accommodate the group sizes or fulfill requests for busy weekend days due to our limited capacity.
We have secured an event space in Middletown that can handle just about anything you could throw at it! Our 5000sqft space welcomes large group events or we can split the space down to fit smaller groups while still providing a top notch experience.
We know this post is going to generate gobs of questions and speculation, at this time we wish to only promote our new event space. You’ll have to wait to hear about any other details, but they will be coming and they are more exciting than you may imagine….
If you are interested in booking your next retirement party, wake, reception, holiday party, or corporate event with us, please contact us through our private event booking page at https://www.yahbrewco.com/taproom-2
While the post is cryptic, like I said above, it is pretty obvious that this is the above bar area of the Tattered Flag brewery location in Middletown, PA. YAH Brew took over the Tattered Flag location in Hershey in 2023; the original Hershey Biergarten that later became the Tattered Flag ‘events’ location and taproom. (YAH Brew to Open in Spring 2023.)
Head brewer for YAH Brew, and husband of the owner, is Justin Hoak who previously was the head brewer of Tattered Flag, leaving to start their own brewery with his wife (owner) Aimee Hoak, shortly before Tattered Flag ended up closing. So it feels like a bit of cyclical loop now with YAH Brew taking over the old Tattered Flag brewery location. Obviously not a whole lot is known, and a lot of information will come out soon, as their post states, their is a lot of speculation about what this new venue will mean for them. This is also their third location in three years. (They also opened their Mount Joy taproom and Hulk’s Hoagies.)
This is definitely a huge step for the YAH Brew brand. While information is short right now, it will be very interesting to see what they make of the 5200 square foot location. Not much is known at this point, also given how California based company – Tower Investments was the previous owner of the location (though they were looking to sell it).  But be sure to stay tuned here as we will bring you all the information we know as soon as it becomes available!

More Information on YAH Brew

Appalachian Brewing Company (Harrisburg)

Celebrating 28 Years of Craft Beer History

The Appalachian Brewing Company (ABC), a pioneer in central Pennsylvania’s craft beer scene, officially announced the closure of its original Harrisburg brewpub after 28 years of operation. Situated in the heart of Harrisburg, this flagship location was more than a local staple—it was the region’s first brewery since 1951 and a driving force behind the city’s revitalization and craft beer renaissance.

Landmark Brewery Roots

Founded in 1997, the Harrisburg brewpub occupied a stunning, historic three-story structure built circa 1915, with deep beer heritage and original lagering rooms dating back to 1890. The brewery’s brick walls and exposed timber beams provided the perfect backdrop for ABC’s mission: to blend innovative craft brewing with a warm, inviting dining experience.

Appalachian Brewing Company’s Harrisburg Legacy

Appalachian Brewing Company (ABC) made history when it was founded in 1997, becoming the first brewery to operate in Harrisburg since 1951. Its flagship brewpub was housed in a massive three-story brick and timber building, originally built around 1915, with a lagering room dating back to 1890. Restoring this space from an abandoned warehouse to a vibrant hub for beer, food, and community events was a monumental labor of love that took nearly two years. The renovation not only revived a piece of Harrisburg’s industrial history but also marked ABC as a pioneer in the region’s craft beer renaissance.

From its opening, ABC became a central point for social life in downtown Harrisburg, offering brewery tours, live music at the Abbey Bar, rooftop dining with views of the city, and a menu that paired scratch-made, locally sourced food with its lineup of ales, lagers, and craft sodas. As the company grew, the Harrisburg location remained its largest and most iconic site, brewing flagship beers like Mountain Lager and Hoppy Trails IPA for distribution throughout the mid-Atlantic. ABC’s bold move brought brewing back to the state capital, fostering a renewed appreciation for local beer culture and solidifying its place as an anchor in Harrisburg’s identity.

Jack Sproch, co-founder and longtime owner of Appalachian Brewing Company, is recognized as a visionary in Pennsylvania’s craft beer community. As both brewer and business leader, Sproch—alongside his founding partners Shawn Gallagher and Artie Tafoya—helped revive Harrisburg’s brewing tradition in 1997 by launching ABC in a historic warehouse. Under his stewardship, the company grew from a single brewpub into a respected regional brand known for consistent, innovative beers, quality craft sodas, and a genuine commitment to community and hospitality.

(See also: Unearthing the History of Harrisburg Brewing: From Barnitz to Troegs)

Why Did ABC Harrisburg Close?

After nearly three decades, the Harrisburg location is shutting its doors due to shifting market dynamics and increased competition. The company cited evolving consumer patterns and a saturated craft beer landscape as primary reasons for retiring this legendary location—reminding us that even icons must adapt to changing tastes and economic realities.

For twenty eight years ABC was a Harrisburg craft beer anchor, Appalachian Brewing Company’s flagship brewpub closed its doors largely due to changes in the market landscape. The company cited evolving consumer patterns and a saturated craft beer market as the key drivers. Over the past several years, competition in the Central Pennsylvania craft beer scene has increased significantly, with new breweries emerging not just locally but also across the state and nation. This has led to more options for consumers and put substantial pressure on even the most established brewpubs to continually adapt and stand out.

Additionally, there has been a broader national trend of softened demand for beer—shipments and consumption have both declined, reflecting shifts in consumer preferences and economic pressures. The popularity of alternative beverages like hard seltzers and spirits, alongside continued cautious spending, has challenged traditional breweries. These headwinds resulted in the difficult decision to retire their Harrisburg location, even as ABC continues to operate and innovate at its other sites.

By acknowledging these challenges, Appalachian Brewing Company aims to focus on its remaining locations while adapting its operations to thrive in a rapidly changing craft beer landscape.

Appalachian Brewing Company’s Brewing Will Continue

The company will continue brewing operations at the complex and The Abbey Bar will remain open for events. They will continue their normal brewing operations out of the Appalachian Brewing Company’s location, primarily still for distribution, for The Abbey Bar, and for their other locations.

This comes also with the news of the returning 717 Collaboration Beer releasing soon. (See here: 717 Collaboration Beer Returns.)

Appalachian Brewing Company: More Than Just a Brewpub

While the Harrisburg closure marks the end of an era, ABC’s legacy lives on. Here’s what every craft beer enthusiast should know:

ABC’s Multi-Location Footprint

  • Other Brewpubs: ABC operates locations in Mechanicsburg, Gettysburg (two spots), Lititz, and Shippensburg, each with their own unique beer programs and inventive kitchens

  • Production & Distribution: ABC’s reach extends across the mid-Atlantic, distributing flagship beers, seasonal specialties, and small-batch brews to bars, restaurants, and retailers throughout the region

  • Annual Production: The company boasts an annual output of 15,000 US beer barrels, making it one of Pennsylvania’s largest independent craft breweries

Standout Beers & Craft Offerings

ABC’s taplists have always featured a diverse lineup:

Flagship Brews Seasonal/Rotating
Aero-Head Bock Zoigl Star Lager (unfiltered)
Trail Blaze Maple Brown Ale Celtic Knot Irish Red Ale
Chocolate Avenue Stout Anniversary Maibock
Mountain Lager (Dortmunder Export) Mad Cameron Belgian Wit

  • Award-Winning Craft Sodas: Beyond beer, ABC became famous for craft sodas—such as Root Beer, White Birch Beer, and Ginger Beer—brewed with natural ingredients

  • Small-Batch Spirits: The Mechanicsburg location now features a Spirits store, with ABC’s own bourbon, gin, rum, and vodka (including lemon, orange, and vanilla flavors)

The Abbey Bar: Harrisburg’s Iconic Venue

Above the Harrisburg brewhouse, The Abbey Bar will be remembered as a vibrant center for live music and special events. Locals and visitors alike enjoyed a unique combination of craft beer culture and entertainment in this celebrated space.

The Future of Appalachian Brewing Company

Appalachian Brewing Company is committed to continuing its tradition at its remaining locations, with new brews, creative menus, brewery tours, and events that foster the spirit of independent brewing

. While the Harrisburg brewpub’s closure will be felt by many, ABC’s impact on Pennsylvania’s craft beer evolution endures—and you can still sip your favorites at locations across the state.

Pine Creek Spirits Closing https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/06/29/pine-creek-spirits-closing/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=pine-creek-spirits-closing Sun, 29 Jun 2025 14:08:20 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16467 Pine Creek Spirits Announce Closing

Pine Creek Spirits, located in Elizabethtown PA, in what was at one time the Funk Brewing taproom (see Funk Brewing Fire). (See also: Funk Brewing Taproom closing and Pine Creek Spirits Taking Over.) Located at 28 S Market St, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, the spirits taproom is now permanently closed.

Pine Creek Spirits Logo

Pine Creek Spirits announced on their Instagram post that they will be officially closed, going forward from today.

Their post today reads:

After taking a step back, we have to face the reality that we do not have the ability or resources to reopen. We’re incredibly proud of the team that we had over the years. They fought through a pandemic, a fire, and a failed business partnership. Many people would have thrown in the towel after one of those obstacles, but they perservered over many years to keep fighting for our business to stay alive.

Thank you also to all of our customers. We got to know many of you over the years and you were awesome to us. It makes it that much harder to close the doors. We hope you had as much fun as we did and hopefully we’ll see all of you down the road.

Pine Creek Spirits (Instagram Post – June 29th, 2025)

They previously recently posted this on social media as well:

Sorry everyone, we are taking a week to reorganize and won’t be open. We hope to see everyone at the beginning of next week!

-Pine Creek Spirits (Facebook Post – June 23rd, 2025)

So it looks like they are officially closed. Which is a shame, as its a wonderful location, and a great spot in Elizabethtown. Perhaps a new taproom will go in there, possibly a craft brewery taking over the spot, like how it used to be Funk Brewery’s taproom. Who knows. But we’ll keep you updated if anything does happen with the spot, so keep your eyes peeled on the blog. Cheers.

Ranch City Brewing to Bring Bold Brews and Artisan Fare to Easton’s Simon Silk Mill https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/06/22/ranch-city-brewing-to-bring-bold-brews-and-artisan-fare-to-eastons-simon-silk-mill/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ranch-city-brewing-to-bring-bold-brews-and-artisan-fare-to-eastons-simon-silk-mill Sun, 22 Jun 2025 14:36:53 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16441 Ranch City Brewing to Bring Bold Brews and Artisan Fare to Easton’s Simon Silk Mill

A fresh hop-forward adventure is heading to Northampton County this July as Ranch City Brewing prepares to open its doors at the revitalized Simon Silk Mill complex. The brewery will be located at Simon Silk Mill, 1250 Simon Blvd., Easton.

Set to launch with a soft opening in the second week of July and a tentative grand opening on Saturday, July 12, Ranch City Brewing promises to be more than just another taproom—it’s aiming to be Easton’s newest destination for beer lovers and foodies alike.

Occupying the former home of Böser Geist Brewing Co., which closed in 2023 after a seven-year run, Ranch City Brewing is the brainchild of six passionate entrepreneurs: AJ and Nikki Mitchell, Dan and Daneal O’Leary, and Kyle and Cynthia Randell. Together, they’re bringing experience, energy, and community spirit to the table.

“We’re building the kind of brewery we’d want to hang out at ourselves,” said co-owner AJ Mitchell. “Whether you’re out with friends catching the game, or on a date night looking for quality food and drinks, we’ve got something for you.”

Craft Brews and Culinary Roots

At the heart of Ranch City’s beer program is Dan O’Leary, a seasoned brewer with over 15 years of experience, including stints at Blue Point Brewing, Port Jeff Brewing, and several Iron Hill Brewery locations. Dan will helm a 10-barrel brewhouse, producing a rotating lineup of styles from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, balanced lagers, and even hard seltzers.

Expect 24 taps pouring everything from house flagships to seasonal specialties and guest beers. Highlights include:

  • Quiet Man – a silky nitro Irish dry stout

  • Soft Saddle – a crisp cream ale

  • Schitzen Giggles – a playful German pilsner

In addition to beer, Ranch City will serve local wine, craft cocktails, and a curated bourbon selection with an emphasis on Pennsylvania distilleries.

Elevated Pub Grub

Food is no afterthought here. With a chef who’s sharpened his knives in New York’s Little Italy for over two decades, Ranch City will serve an inspired menu that includes:

  • Artisan pizzas (personal and sharable)

  • Smash burgers on fresh-baked rolls

  • Cheesesteaks, chicken wings, hush puppies, bacon-wrapped shrimp

  • Twisted Tees favorites like loaded potato scoops and the “Dirty Dog” chili-cheese hot dog

As AJ puts it, “It’s all about high-quality, made-to-order food that pairs perfectly with beer.”

A Space That Blends City and Country

The renovated interior stays true to its industrial roots while weaving in rustic-modern elements—think exposed brick, corrugated metal, graffiti murals, and pendant lights hanging from rope. With seating for around 150 patrons, the vibe strikes a balance between casual comfort and visual flair.

The name Ranch City reflects the team’s diverse backgrounds—some from cityscapes, others from rural and suburban roots—and speaks to the inclusive atmosphere they’re cultivating. As co-owner Nikki Mitchell explains: “We wanted a place where everyone feels at home.”

A New Chapter at the Silk Mill

Ranch City Brewing joins a growing community at Easton’s Simon Silk Mill, which already includes local hotspots like:

  • Seven Sirens’ The Blendery

  • Easton Wine Project

  • The Tipsy Crow

  • Owowcow Creamery

  • Spectracolor Coffee Roasters

With bold brews, inventive food, and a welcoming ambiance, Ranch City Brewing is set to become a key player in the Lehigh Valley beer scene.

Fox House Brewing Permanently Closing https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/06/17/fox-house-brewing-permanently-closing/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=fox-house-brewing-permanently-closing Wed, 18 Jun 2025 00:30:39 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16437 Fox House Brewing Permanently Closing

Fox House Brewing will be permanently closing on Sunday June 29th, shuttering their brewery at 222 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown, NJ 08505.

Fox House Brewing’s announcement via Instagram (photo courtesy of Fox House Brewing)

June 29th Will be Fox House Brewing’s Last Day

As noted above, on Sunday June 29th, 2025, Fox House Brewing will be closing their Bordentown brewery permanently.

They posted this via social media:

Fox House will be closing permanently on Sunday, June 29th.

NJ brewery laws require that you have a location, zoning variance, all the buildout done, and a certificate of occupancy with all the equipment installed before a license is issued. This is while paying rent the whole time. As I’m sure you remember, opening Fox House took way longer than anticipated. So I had to skimp on brewhouse equipment with the intention of buying something more reliable later on. But it collapsed last week. While I could buy a new system today, it would take months to have it built, installed, and finish new batches. So I would have to close for a while.

I’m exhausted. I miss my wife and kids. So I’m taking this as an opportunity to bow out and hopefully hand it off to another brewery. While I’m disappointed and embarrassed, I would be even more disappointed and embarrassed had I not done something I could be proud of. And that’s what I did, for however fleeting a moment.

Thank you all for the support you have given me and the enjoyment you have taken in patronizing Fox House. I’m sorry that I couldn’t do better.

-Chris Campbell

Fox House Brewing Instagram Post

We recommend any and all to come on out on Sunday to wish them all well and to hope and give them good luck for the future. In the current state of not just the economy, but the craft brewery market, its getting harder and harder to find the margins and the profits, and its getting harder and harder for businesses and craft breweries especially to survive. We need to do all we can to help them continue to stay afloat and to patronize them where and whenever we can.

If we get any more information or news, we will be sure to post here, to stay tuned.

Beer Review: Juicin’ Voorhees (Pariah Brewing Company) https://thebeerthrillers.com/2025/06/13/beer-review-juicin-voorhees-pariah-brewing-company/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=beer-review-juicin-voorhees-pariah-brewing-company Sat, 14 Jun 2025 00:15:13 +0000 https://thebeerthrillers.com/?p=16427 Beer Review: Juicin’ Voorhees (Pariah Brewing Company)

It’s Friday the 13th, and as the chilling wind creeps through the trees and masked slashers stalk our screens, there’s only one beer that belongs in your glass tonight: Juicin’ Voorhees by Pariah Brewing Company. With a name that nods to the hockey-masked legend of horror, this hazy Double IPA doesn’t sneak up on you—it kicks in the door, machete first. But instead of screams, it leaves behind a trail of juicy citrus, smooth bitterness, and pure hop-fueled satisfaction.

Juicin’ Voorhees by Pariah Brewing Company

☁️ Appearance – Haze of the Undead

Much like the fog rolling across Crystal Lake, Juicin’ Voorhees pours an ominously thick golden haze with a glowing, almost radioactive glow. Its creamy white head clings like cobwebs on a rickety cabin, leaving lacing that lingers long after each sip. Ominous, inviting, and impossible to ignore.

👃 Aroma – Frighteningly Fruity

From the first whiff, this beer hits hard with grapefruit zest, peach nectar, and a whisper of dank tropical fruit—like a fruit basket left behind at a murder scene. There’s a sinister edge of orange rind and a faint herbal note in the background, hinting that not everything is as sweet as it seems.

👅 Flavor – Slashingly Smooth

Where most slashers go for the jugular, Juicin’ Voorhees chooses a more subtle, creeping approach.

  • Up front, you get a wave of peach, grapefruit, and tangerine—a fruit-forward assault that’s bright and punchy.

  • The mid-palate turns slightly bitter, with soft pith and a touch of earthy dankness.

  • The finish? Clean, slightly resinous, and just warm enough to remind you this beast clocks in at 8.1% ABV.

It walks the line between sweet and bitter with the finesse of a seasoned stalker—never too cloying, never too aggressive.

👻 Mouthfeel – Smooth as a Silent Stalk

Medium-bodied with a creamy, pillowy mouthfeel, Juicin’ Voorhees glides across the palate like a shadow in the woods. No alcohol burn, no heavy syrup—just a chillingly clean, soft experience that leaves you watching your back… and reaching for another sip.

🩸 Overall Impressions – Hazy Horror Done Right

Pariah Brewing has crafted something special here. Juicin’ Voorhees isn’t just a gimmick beer with a horror-themed name—it’s a legit, well-balanced hazy DIPA that stands tall even among the genre’s heavyweights. The name might scream slasher flick, but the beer inside is all finesse and flavor.

If you’re a fan of juicy IPAs, or just someone looking for the perfect beer to pair with your Friday the 13th binge-watch session, this one’s a no-brainer. Literally.

📊 Stats & Reception

  • ABV: 8.1%

  • IBUs: 24

  • Style: Hazy / New England Double IPA

  • Untappd Score: 3.9 / 5 (1,200+ check-ins)

  • Availability: Limited seasonal release, often around Halloween or fall

🍽️ Pairings – What to Eat While You Scream

  • Buffalo wings with ghost pepper sauce – feel the burn

  • Sharp cheddar and soft pretzels – smooth meets bold

  • Pumpkin pie or caramel apple tarts – because horror needs dessert too

  • Grilled sausage and onions – hearty flavors to match the DIPA bite

🪦 Final Words – Don’t Sleep on This Slasher

Whether you’re hiding under a blanket watching Jason Lives or sitting around a fall campfire waiting for strange noises, Juicin’ Voorhees is a killer choice. Bold, juicy, and just creepy enough to make your skin crawl—in the best way.

So this Friday the 13th, raise a glass to horror, hops, and Pariah Brewing’s tribute to the boogeyman of hazy IPAs. Just don’t turn your back on the fridge. You never know when another can might sneak up behind you…

🍺 Juicin’ Voorhees Review – A Killer Brew for Friday the 13th

Juicin’ Voorhees is a seasonal Double/Hazy IPA from Pariah Brewing (based in San Diego, CA), clocking in at 8.1% ABV and 24 IBUs. With its ominous name—a play on a horror-movie icon—it delivers an inviting yet smooth entry into the fall IPA scene.

For more information on Jason Voorhees – check out the Wikipedia page: Jason Voorhees. As well as check out the series: Friday the 13th. Ironically, soon after posting this article, Hoppy Floppy also posted it to her Instagram. You can check it out (forewarning – NSFW – Juicin Voorhees Post).
