Victory Brewing and Tasty Kake Are Teaming Up Again

Victory Brewing and Tasty Kake Are Teaming Up Again

Their doing it again, for their second in what is now becoming a series, Victory Brewing and Tasty Kake are teaming up (again). Previously Victory Brewing and Tastykake teamed up to create the Victory Brewing – Koffee Kake Ale. (See: Victory Brewing Company and Tastykake Company Team Up for Koffee Kake Ale). This time they are back together, teaming up to make the Peanut Butter Tastykake collaboration.

Victory Brewing and Tastykake Team Up Again For Peanut Butter Kandy Kake Porter

Tastykake’s Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes

Victory Brewing (out of Downingtown PA) is again teaming up with Tastykake to release the Tastykake Peanut Butter Kandy Kake Porter. Tastykake is one of the most Pennsylvanian treats you can find (most likely at your WaWa or Sheetz or Rutter’s), and is always a go to treat for road trips and at home snacks. (I know personally its one of Amy’s favorites.) (I am fully anticipating a stop at Breski’s Beverages or West Connection Beer Vault once this is released to pick up a six pack.)

This will be a porter with notes of chocolate, peanut butter and light pound cake. It is the second release in what is becoming a series of beers between Victory Brewing and Tastykake. Currently its listed at being a 6% porter, and will be sold in 12 oz bottles (like the previous Victory Brewing – Tastykake pairing – Koffee Kake Ale), and its also noted that it will be released in cans. We will keep you updated on more information as we get it, including release dates, and if Victory will be hosting any events. (Last time they had a Tastykake Tap Takeover at their brewery.)

Just months out of college, Bill’s appreciation of good beer and access to his father’s home brewing equipment inspired him to explore the hobby. Patagonia Provisions – Troegs Brewing and Patagonia team up for Kernza Lager series

Tröegs Independent Brewing is excited to announce its latest collaboration with Patagonia Provisions, the food and beverage division of the renowned outdoor apparel company, Patagonia. This innovative partnership has given rise to a new lager-style beer, brewed with the regenerative perennial grain, Kernza®.

A Unique Partnership for Sustainability

Last summer, Patagonia Provisions introduced its pilot brewery partnership program, collaborating with independent craft breweries across the United States. Each brewery has been tasked with creating region-specific beers using Regenerative Organic Certified Kernza and other organic ingredients. Tröegs Independent Brewing now joins this pioneering initiative, alongside twenty other breweries, to promote the use of regenerative and organic ingredients. This effort aims to enhance soil health, restore ecosystems, and foster a sustainable food chain.

Crafting the Perfect Kernza Lager

“This is our first time brewing with this unique grain,” shares John Trogner, co-founding brother and brewmaster at Tröegs. “Fifteen percent of the grain bill is Kernza, which we combine with organic Pilsner malt to build a crisp backbone.” The result is a remarkably drinkable lager, lightly hopped with organic Perle hops. It boasts notes of rustic crackers, bright wildflowers, and a touch of grassiness, making it a refreshing choice for beer enthusiasts.

Commitment to Local and Sustainable Ingredients

For over 26 years, Tröegs has remained dedicated to its core values of independence and family ownership. This commitment is echoed by Paul Lightfoot, General Manager of Patagonia Provisions, who states, “They support their local farmers in central Pennsylvania, buying more than 225,000 pounds of local grain, honey, and fruit every year.” This collaboration not only highlights Tröegs’ dedication to local agriculture but also aligns with Patagonia’s mission of environmental stewardship.

Exclusive Availability

Kernza Lager is now available exclusively on draft at Tröegs Independent Brewery in Hershey, PA. Beer aficionados and sustainability advocates alike can enjoy this exceptional brew while supporting a movement towards a more sustainable and organic future.

They are releasing these in very small batches (less than five kegs each) when they release them, so get to the brewery when they get tapped because they will definitely be going fast.

Visit Tröegs Independent Brewery

Don’t miss the chance to taste the unique Kernza Lager. Visit Tröegs Independent Brewery in Hershey, PA, and be part of a growing movement that values quality, sustainability, and innovation in the craft beer industry.

Troegs Independent Brewing has already released one Kernza Lager and is about to release their second variant. Look for a third variant to be released in June, followed by more throughout the year as they fine tune the beer and the recipe.

For the latest updates on Tröegs Independent Brewing and their innovative collaborations, follow them on social media and visit their website. Experience the perfect blend of tradition and sustainability with every sip of Kernza Lager.

Victory Brewing and Tastykake’ Koffee Kake Ale to be Released on December 22nd

As we had previously mentioned here on the blog – Victory Brewing Company and Tastykake Company Team Up for Koffee Kake Ale (back on October 5th) – Victory Brewing Company and Tastykake have teamed up to deliver a coffee cake infused beer – Koffee Kake Ale.

From their latest release information on it:

The 6% ale takes the delicious flavors of Tastykake’s Koffee Kake into a sweet ale with notes of pound cake & cinnamon. Victory Brewing Co. will release its Tastykake Koffee Kake Ale on Friday, December 22, at its taprooms in Downingtown, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Parkesburg, PA; and Kennett Square, PA. Join for a first taste, giveaways, and pairings from Victory and Tastykake from 11 am – 4 pm. The first 10 consumers in attendance at each of Victory’s Taprooms on the 22nd will score special and limited co-branded prize packs.

Koffee Kake Ale

As stated above, its primary release will be on December 22nd.  Koffee Kake Ale will ship to Victory’s distribution network in mid-December 2023 and be available in 6-pack 12 oz. bottles and draft until early March 2024, while supplies last.

Brand crossovers are on the rise in craft for the unique and special value they bring to drinkers. As Victory entered the world of collaboration, it was especially important for us to select a partner whose identity, values and flavor profiles would align with ours in a way that connected with our loyal fan base.

Kelly Irvine, brand manager of Victory Brewing Company

The Koffee Kake Ale is a “classic ale” style beer thats everything but classic. Its going to come in at 6.0% ABV, and its going to have notes of cinnamon and pound cake. They will be releasing this as 12 oz bottles (no cans, and no draft).

We are thrilled for the opportunity for Tastykake to collaborate with Victory Beer on such a unique and tasty mash-up. We believe the Koffee Kake Ale brings the best of these two iconic brands together in a flavorful way for our passionate fans.

Ashley Hornsby, Tastykake brand manager

New Belgium Brewing is teaming up with Subpar Parks to create The Lack of Wildlife is Alarming Pale Ale. This “subpar” pale ale is will be hitting at 6% ABV and will be packaged and sold in 12 oz cans. The can art features Yosemite National Park.

Subpar Parks

From New Belgium’s website – Who is Subpar Parks:

Amber is a designer, illustrator, and hand lettering artist with a passion for the outdoors. Her colorful, often punny work is inspired by her interests: spending time outside any way she can, building a creative business, the ups and downs of owning far too many house plants, and, as a major introvert, spending time recharging at home. After years working as a professional graphic designer for non-profits and small businesses, in 2020 she took the leap and began working for herself full-time, when her passion project, Subpar Parks, went viral, and went on to become a New York Times Bestselling book. Now she spends her time creating greeting cards, stickers, prints, and other products featuring her artwork.

When she’s not creating new products or trying to keep her plants alive, she’s probably hiking, camping somewhere in the middle of the desert in her Xterra, or fixing up the 127-year-old Victorian house she lives in with her husband, Taylor, and their feisty cat, Suki.

For More Information on New Belgium Brewing Company

The following information comes from Untappd. New Belgium Brewing Company is a Subsidiary of Kirin Brewery Company and is a macro brewery from Fort Collins, CO. They have 688 unique beers and over 6,299,000 ratings (just shy of 6.3 Million) with a global average rating of 3.63 (as of 11.24.23). Their Untappd description reads: New Belgium Brewing was founded in 1991 in Fort Collins, Colo., by Kim Jordan, a social worker, who built her company the only way a social worker would: People first. Over the past three decades, New Belgium has turned that ethos into a unique “human-powered” business model through practices that were and still are rare in the business world: fully paid healthcare premiums for all coworkers, paying a living wage, open-book management, renewable energy sourcing, a free onsite medical clinic and physician, a deep commitment to philanthropy and advocacy, and much more. With expansions to Asheville, N.C., in 2016; Denver, Colo., in 2018; San Francisco in 2021; and the 2021 acquisition of Bell’s Brewery, based in Kalamazoo, Mich., this people-centric model has led New Belgium to become arguably the most popular and fastest-growing American craft brewer today. New Belgium is famous for its flagship beer, Fat Tire Amber Ale; year-round favorites like Voodoo Ranger IPA (America’s #1 IPA brand), Dominga Mimosa Sour, and La Folie Sour Brown Ale; and an award-winning wood-aged sour program and innovative limited release beers. We are working on a massive project here at The Beer Thrillers. We are creating a map of all of the breweries across the United States. State by state we are adding maps of all of the different states with every brewery in each state. (We will eventually get to the US Territories, as well as the Canadian Provinces, and possibly more countries; as well as doing some fun maps like a map of all the breweries we’ve been to, and other fun maps.) You can find the brewery maps here:

We are also working on a project of creating printable and downloadable PDFs and resources to be able to check and keep track of all of the breweries you’ve been to. So stay tuned for that project once we are finished with the Brewery Maps of the US States.
